NoPwnage
NoPwnage
Identify and ban bots that connect to the server for the sole purpose of spamming it
Introduction
NoPwnage will monitor the behaviour of players that connect to the server, especially their chat messages, timing, content etc. to decide if they may be spambots. If a player gets identified as such, he can first receive a warning, and if he continues to misbehave, he may get kicked or banned (configurable).
While the plugin is based on the concept of the discontinued AntiPwnage, it is not the same because it has been completely rewritten from scratch and extended, e.g. by providing configuration settings, a clearer, simpler code structure, the option to decide what should happen if a player gets identified as spamming and many more things.

Contact / Support
You can reach me here in the comment section or opening a support ticket (if you have a bug report to make or need support). Those things are most likely to grab my attention. You can also follow me on Twitter http://twitter.com/Evenprime85 to get informed about new versions of my plugins and maybe a random rant about stuff that annoys me while coding.
Thank you for reading this!
Well, this plugin is just taking charge of WAY too many false positives. Saying things like "working on it" was triggering bot activity warnings. My server members are in an uproar and revolt over it- never actually had such a response to installing a plugin. On my forums, I am getting messages like:
Any consideration for spoutcraft multiple line msgs, or ways of calming this behavior would be appreciated.
@Evenprime85
Does the plugin reload the configuration on disable/re-enable by commands ?
Reloading would be great for tweaking with the config :) ...
@asofold
It's intentional that all three commands are run at once. You can read in the server log/console how it all added up to them reaching the "banLevel" and maybe tweak things a bit in the config file accordingly.
It always performs all three commands ?
sometimes people get banned like instantly for writing three times "hi" or "1" ...
Might be that configuration can do something :)
Just want to say thanks for picking this up!!!!
@Munkyman587
probably because it sends 2 messages rapidly, i wonder if that is "fixable"
EDIT: aka fixable without causing a loophole for bots
People who use spotcraft and have "long posts" posted as 2 msgs are being warned about bot activity. Thanks for the plugins =)
I've updated to 1.1.1:
Ill test this out too
I will be testing this on my server. I'll report back if anything goes wrong, thanks for the awesome plugins!
@Evenprime85
lol! probably since the only people in that situation in danger of a dox'ing isn't you, hence flattery should keep them safe from you XD!
@cvxx7q
not yet. But I've officially been declared "a cool guy" by them, that means I'm safe, I guess?
Not that I really care about that.
@Evenprime85
generally if you upload a file all your subscribers will get a direct link before bukkit deve even propogates its existence
:P
and congrats on "finishing" (you are far from it surely) ;)
oh yeha any strange pizza deliveries? XD?

Great plugin! total vouch for evenprime he is legit! :D
Finally done.
Uploaded version 1.1.0, set to release. Now just need to wait. btw, it's pretty cool that people can view uploaded files of projects without knowing the names of the files by simply entering the link:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/PROJECTNAME/files/FILENUMBER in their url bar. Just replace "FILENUMBER" with a number starting from 1 to x and PROJECTNAME with the project name from the url, e.g. "nopwnage".
BukkitDev will automatically fill in the actual filename etc. :)
@Evenprime85
it was fool around lol, i know how the process works (i uploaded a small project myself)
i see how you roll when the IDE is open... your game face is on.. XD
EDIT: personally in no hurry, im not going public till 1.2 i was building a server in 1.1 hoping 1.2 wasnt a big update or anything, but when anvil was announced and the mcedit dev leaving (project being continued still), quite frankly i felt screwed/fucked over... (hope that doesnt sound too harsh)
however, things are getting back on track so yeah ill open up in 1.2 im sure you will be polished off by then for sure ;)
@cvxx7q
I haven't uploaded a file yet, so that won't change. It's not polished enough for release. It will have a lot more features than the AntiPwnage plugin though, so it should be worth the additional wait.
it still says awaiting approval!?
