Thanks to everyone who used and liked this plugin. I've set the plugin to "abandoned" status myself (that's why there is a red box above this text), because it describes best the current status of this plugin. Thanks to everyone that supported me during the year of development, with money, bug reports or simply kind words.
What now?
NoCheat 3.5.0 no longer works with recent CraftBukkit build and you will no longer get any updates or support from me anymore.

Replacements for NoCheat
Check out these plugins.
NoCheat+
It is based on NoCheat's code and is therefore similar in how it works. But it also adds a ton of new features. You can find it HERE.
NoCheat Classic
It is the original NoCheat without any modifications beyond what is necessary to make it work on modern CraftBukkit versions. If you like NoCheat exactly the way it is, this may be what you are looking for. You can find it HERE.
AntiCheat
Is a new plugin that's built from scratch. That means it will behave and feel different to NoCheat. I'm sure the developer appreciates new users and bug reports. Get it HERE.
Make your own
Don't like the presented alternatives? You may just create your own plugin instead. The source code for NoCheat is HERE.

First, I'm brazilian, so, sorry my bad english.
You have done a GREAT work with this plugin. You saved lifes. 80% of servers uses your plugin, because he's perfect, he combats those mtfker' hackers...
Even if you stop coding NoCheat... just remeber this... you're one of the best programmers of Bukkit! ;)

Other people will continue, but they'll have a fresh start under a different name. Github is in the original plugin description that I link to above and you can find it by clicking "Repository". Besides that, googling "NoCheat" will definitely find it. I've removed the donation buttons for NoCheat when I announced that I'll no longer develop it.
I don't see any use in assembling a team around me now, if I'm not going to work on it anymore anyway. I rather see those that want to just do what they want instead of trying to "continue the legacy". I have no right to tell them how they do their job, as they deserve the same freedom of having their own project as I did when I started this. They can only have that freedom to really call it their project if I'm not involved at all with it.

Posted Mar 16, 2012@Evenprime85 Do not deprecate the plugin. Just recruit more authors. Have other people continue the project when you do not have time or for some other reason loose motivation. To be more authors always make the plugin better to my experience.
Taking donations may work as a deterrent to involve other devs. That is why I never take donations for the plugins I work on.
So: put the github link up! And motivate other devs by saying you won't take any more donations.

Oh, alright I see what you mean. I was thinking that NoCheat was going to be exclusive to JusticeCraft or something like that.
Yeah, NoPwnage is a low maintenance plugin, the only bug I have found was related to MCBans, when someone gets banned, it issues it (depending on the level) about 100-800 times, running all the commands. The official MCBans anti-spam actually did that too at one time. If you could fix that that would be great :)

I've marked it as inactive because *I* won't add to it anything new anymore. I've not decided what I'll do with NoPwnage. I want to make at least one more update to it, but haven't found time and motivation for that yet. It's also a very low maintainance plugin (there isn't much that can break) and the userbase is small, so I'll probably just keep it.

Not sure what you mean with "it" related to selling. I don't sell plugins, I write custom plugins (when I have time) for money now. If that's related to the private "NoCheat" version that people keep mentioning and asking about (on skype, email), it doesn't exist. I've exactly the same NoCheat version as the one that you can download here.

Yes, someone did take up the source. Yes, the plugin will soon be released by others under a new name, new management, etc. Once it is released, I'll make sure to write it into this description and make a comment about it.

Posted Mar 14, 2012This plugin is counted on by so many servers including mine. I honestly don't know what I'm going to use to substitute this. Are you planning on letting anybody take control of the Nocheat plugin? Or is it just going to die out? :/ I'm positive everyone that uses your plugin respects all the hard work you have put into it, it's just that it's going to be catastrophic if this plugin just disappears. I really hope there's someone out there that will continue to develop this one of a kind plugin. It really is the best anti hack/mod plugin I have ever experienced. Let us know and keep us updated!
