Thanks to everyone who used and liked this plugin. I've set the plugin to "abandoned" status myself (that's why there is a red box above this text), because it describes best the current status of this plugin. Thanks to everyone that supported me during the year of development, with money, bug reports or simply kind words.

What now?

NoCheat 3.5.0 no longer works with recent CraftBukkit build and you will no longer get any updates or support from me anymore.

Replacements for NoCheat

Check out these plugins.

NoCheat+

It is based on NoCheat's code and is therefore similar in how it works. But it also adds a ton of new features. You can find it HERE.

NoCheat Classic

It is the original NoCheat without any modifications beyond what is necessary to make it work on modern CraftBukkit versions. If you like NoCheat exactly the way it is, this may be what you are looking for. You can find it HERE.

AntiCheat

Is a new plugin that's built from scratch. That means it will behave and feel different to NoCheat. I'm sure the developer appreciates new users and bug reports. Get it HERE.

Make your own

Don't like the presented alternatives? You may just create your own plugin instead. The source code for NoCheat is HERE.

EDIT 2: Some other user seems to confirm problems with Nocheat with this, except the downgraded version stops it? http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/server-crashing-with-following-error-noone-knows-what-it-is-do-you.65982/#post-1039227

Please check Evenprime85... i know ur retired now but.. >< lol pretty please >< I know I'm, asking much but I would really appriciate a short look at the error atleast. :)

NoCheat doesn't prevent people from placing fire. You probably use another plugin like worldguard that does this.

You're only one who can avoid various hacker attack who doesn't really have life. I know personal life is important to, but then why begin a project if you don't know when you will fully release it?

You know that it is not considered a compliment to tell people that they have no life, right? I started the project because it seemed like a fun thing to do ("I bet I can do that"). I never expected to see more than a few dozen people using it when I started.

Man, You cannot do this >.< you know how NoCheat is important to EVERYONE in this game? I know someone will take care but does he will understand our feelings and ideas of this plugin? I don't think so. You're only one who can avoid various hacker attack who doesn't really have life. I know personal life is important to, but then why begin a project if you don't know when you will fully release it? I think this plugin must continue it existence and never stop. Because every day, month some people create more easy things to avoid plugin protections such as NoCheat. Without NoCheat, servers will be easy to grief able or even hacked. Imagine there is a few hackers who know how to avoid NoCheat because its still 3.5.0 Version? Please keep your plugin on, world needs this plugin and we really respect your work as developer of amazing plugin. I don't care who will take care of this plugin or what ever will continue and ruin it originality. I don't need this. If the plugin will be no useful then there is no point of hosting server because hackers will crash servers. So think please.

NoCheat was always more about spending time finding out how "hacks" work and being creative in how to stop them without crippling other plugins or features, not so much about being an exceptional Java developer, which I am not.

And no, there seems to be no page yet for the new plugin.

I am sure his skill is more than adequate for NoCheat and beyond.

The main point about NoCheat et al. may well be the question which of all the developers has time and motivation to do this ;( - a plugin like NoCheat needs constant updating and keeping track of what happens cheat-wise....

Essentials NoCheat does not sound bad, though i am not using essentials it might lead to a team doing this which could be a good thing.

Evenprime85 is certainly very good and has helped many servers. But as far as the best bukkit developer? I not sure..., i think theres many other developers that are equal or better..

Just got a notice that "Essentials AntiCheat" is finished.

It is basically NoCheat, but already with a few additions/improvements and obviously under completely new management. As soon as it appears here on Bukkit Dev somewhere I'll modify the description above to direct new people directly towards their page.
