Well, here comes the cranial implosion. Don't say I didn't warn you.

MyUltraWarps has a great number of features. Some features are commonplace among warping plugins, but some cannot be found in any other warping plugin out there!

features

standard warping

  • With myUltraWarps, players can create "warps" with a name, location, and other properties. Then, players can warp (teleport) to that saved location at any time using the name of the warp in a simple command.

player-player teleportation

  • With /to, players can teleport to each other just by giving the first letter or few letters (enough to distinguish from any other players online) of the target player's username.
  • Similarly, /from can teleport the specified player to you. (Normally only admins can use this command without asking the target player first.)
  • MyUltraWarps can even be configured so that if a player uses /from or /to, it will ask the target player if the requested teleportation is okay before actually doing it.
  • Is someone constantly spamming /to trying to teleport to you even after you've told them to stop? Block their requests with /block. It's that simple. (You can't block admins, of course).

warp advertisement and type

  • Warps can be one of four types: "open", "advertised", "secret", or "private".
    • Open and secret warps can be used by anyone while advertised and private warps can only be used by the owner of the warp and admins.
    • Open and advertised warps appear at the bottom of the page for any player when they use /warp list while secret and private warps do not.

sign warping

  • You can link warps to signs; then anyone who right-clicks the sign will use the warp linked to the sign.
  • You don't even have to write anything special on the sign; it can say whatever you want! Just make the warp, point at the sign you want to link it to, and use /link.

what makes myUltraWarps different

switch warping

  • As mentioned above, you can link warps to signs, but unlike many other plugins, you can also link warps to buttons, levers, or even pressure plates (wood or stone, not weighted).

/back and /fwd

  • Every time you warp to a warp or another player, myUltraWarps saves your current location and your target location into your warp history. This warp history is like an Internet browsing history and can be used with these commands.
  • The /back command works just like the "back" button on any standard Internet browser, but for your warp history rather than browsing history.
    • Imagine you just found a cave that intersects a ravine with two double dungeons, an abandoned mineshaft, and no lava. In short, it's the most amazing cavern you've ever found in your Minecraft career. You warp home to get a bunch of pick axes and empty your inventory, but then you realize... you forgot to set a warp in that cave! You have no idea how to get back! "What a tragedy!"...is what you would say if you had another warping plugin. Thankfully, you have myUltraWarps, so all you have to do is type /back and you're right back where you left off in the cave with fresh pick axes and plenty of inventory space for diamonds.
  • The /fwd command works like the forward button on your Internet browser. This can be used in conjunction with /back to freely and easily tour through your warping history and find the spot you were looking for.

/death

  • In addition to a warp history (see the section above), each player also has a death history. Every time you die, it saves that location into your death history. Then with /death, you can return to the place(s) you died.
  • While /death works like the back button on an Internet browser for your death history, /deathfwd can act as the forward button, allowing you to browse your death history freely.

warp message customization

  • Every warp with myUltraWarps has a warp message and a no warp message. The warp message appears to someone who uses your warp; the no warp message appears to someone who tries to use your warp, but isn't permitted. Both of these messages can be customized.
    • ...and you can use all the color codes you want!
    • ...and you can put "[player]" anywhere in the message and it will replace it with the name of the player using the warp.

warp blacklist/whitelist

  • myUltraWarps warps have lists that act as blacklists for unrestricted warps (i.e. open or secret warps) or white lists for restricted warps (i.e. advertised or private warps; see warp types above). This allows you to ban troublemakers from your public stores or to let your friends use some of your private warps.

configurability by server, permissions group, or individual players

  • Inside the data folder, myUltraWarps has a config.txt file. In this file, admins can see and edit settings for the entire server or for different permissions groups (with Vault and a compatible permissions plugin) or even for individual players.
  • See the config.txt page for more information.

I've been a server admin for quite a while now and the server has gone through really tough times. I know how hard it is to run a server and to do it right. That's why I work so hard on this plugin. Not only do I sympathize with all of you out there running servers, but I run my own and I use this plugin on my own server. If you'll allow me, I'll help you make your warp system great. You have enough to worry about.

Have fun ultra-warping.
