About MV2
Multiverse was created at the dawn of Bukkit multiworld support. It has since then grown into a complete world management solution including special treatment of your nether worlds with NetherPortals.
In the second delivery of Multiverse, we've broken it up into several smaller plugins that are each feature packed but *not bloated*! Multiverse provides the easiest to use world management solution for your Minecraft server, big or small, and with great addons like Portals and NetherPortals, what's not to love!
Multiverse is back! Is your server, a Multiverse?
Multiverse-Portals Features
- Restrict users from using specific portals with permissions
- Charge users to use specific portals!
- Exempt users from portal fees.
- Launch users through the air when they enter a Multiverse Portal!
- Allow minecarts/boats through Multiverse Portals
So long Awesome Builds
We use to have this notion of an "Awesome Build" or AB which was suppose to be thought of like Bukkit's Recommended Build system. Awesome Builds were ones that we put extra testing into and were meant to be very stable. Unfortunately there will be no more Awesome Builds. Our development team doesn't have the time to devote to the project that we use to. As such, we've moved to a new build system which you'll notice in the new version numbering. Our release builds here should be stable; Lots of people have had time to vet them for us while they were only development builds. While we don't have much time to work on the project, we do still take critical bugs very seriously and try to get them fixed as quickly as possible.

Doesn't work for me when I try to do '/mvp create survival', it says a internal error accured. The link is to the console error CONSOLE ERROR
We just updated our server from Spigot 1.8.x to 1.10.2 and are now encountering an issue with multiverse-portals. First our configuration didn't transfer (which is fine) we updated to the latest DEV build.
We have many worlds but we will look at just 2 right now. Our main world and a creative world. We use worldborder to lock the sizes of these 2 worlds the main world has a radius of 12k and the creative world has a radius of 800. We have a portal in the main world at x700 z1400 that links to a portal at x0 z0 in the creative world. When we try to travel from the main world to the creative world we get a message saying we have reached the border of the world and we are left at the edge of the world and NOT moved to 0,0 where we should be. When we use the portal in the creative world to return that portal works fine (other than sometimes/often appearing UNDER the portal).
As a test we removed the worldborder for the creative world and upon entering the portal in the main world we were correctly teleported to the portal in the creative world. I suspect that the way multiverse-portals teleports is that it moves you to the new world but at your current coordinates then it moves you to the target coords in that word. Since the X,Z position in the creative world is OUTSIDE our border worldborder catches this and then the teleport process doesn't occur.
Is there a fix?
Hi!
Which version of Multiverse Portals should you use on Spigot 1.10.2? Is the latest one on https://ci.onarandombox.com/job/Multiverse-Portals/? And is it Multiverse-Portals-2.5.0-SNAPSHOT.jar to download then?
(Trying to upgrade our server fromt 1.8.8 which uses Multiverse Core, Multiverse Portals and Multiverse Netherportals. It seems that the portals part gives an error on 1.10.2, thinking it might be version related.)
Thanks!
@Turtle123mlg
Yes, left click is to break the block, the block dosent break if you left click with a worldedit wand so, first left click a block to place point 1, then right click to place point 2

Can someone give me a link to multiverse-portals which will fix this problem. Im running 1.8
@Oceanus5000
I think there is a way but idk much about the plugin so...
@Oceanus5000
I usually use Essentials to create homes at the locations that I want to spawn at or you could use the command with Multiverse "/mv tp (worldname)" you don't need the (). It will teleport you to the main spawn location though! But it is possible to set up two portals between two worlds. I guess if this didn't answer your question send me a private message and I'll do my best to get back to you. Good luck =)
Is it possible to switch between two different worlds to set up portals to them? My friends and I have a Creative world that we would really like to use in addition to our Survival world. Any help would be greatly appreciated; we spent a long time building on that Creative world and would hate to lose it!
@Bountyhunter59
I found out that it is the version of world edit. You have to use world edit 5 or lower if you use world edit 6 then it will not work. I downgraded my world edit to a 5. version and I can make portals now.
The issue I am having is that players cannot use the portals or the /mv tp or even /mv spawn and they can't even use the signs. I have given them all the permissions needed, it seems the only one's who can use the portals, the commands and the signs are admins. I have my region set to allow players to interact and use but still no such luck.
You guys want to take the time to update this plugin like you're doing core? It's be pretty nice to update some of the essential addons that come it. Ya know, some of the ones a lot servers use/used.
When i try to create a portal with worldedit it gives me this "You must LEFT click a block"
HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AS BOUNTY HUNTER. Is any one going to respond?? or are you just going leave it and let people think this is a crap plugin?
Will also post in the bug reports
every time i select the region then do /mvp create portal1 it will say "An internal error has occurred while attempting to run this command" what do i do please help me.
@ZetTtyu
ZetTtyu: Not sure how to fix the portal blocks facing the wrong way...I think I used worldEdit to fix them last time that happened to me, but the 2nd part is easy. To set the direction a player faces when leaving the portal, either use anchors (saves your position and where you are looking, and teleports the player to the same position/direction), or even easier, when you create the portal put the direction after the destination portal, like this... /mvp create myPortal43 p:Portal52:e Notice the :e on the end - this will face the player East upon arriving at the destination. This syntax works with all destination types (portals, world, anchors, etc)
using the latest MVcore,Portals and Nether builds on latest buildtools Spigot1.9.
when using my walktrough portals, everything is fine.. i can jump trough the portals millions of times.. no crash, heap whatever.
When using a portal which is horizontal and the player CAN junp into.. like a pool.. its bugged, players get teleportet between spawn and the portal-destination in a loop until the server crashes... (max mem and max cpu)
(pastebin here: http://pastebin.com/SXp5XE2H)
thanks! k0s
@ZetTtyu
//set portal:2 (the:2 changes the facing)
when using the command and the portals disappear.. set //fast and then //set ...
disable //fast afterwards by typing it in again.
Facing of the player...
the easiest way is to :
Select the portal /mvp select
then go to the destination, face the direction and use /mvp NAME dest here
@ZoefyC
Thanks for the tip , but no all the portal names are just letters, nothing else, the error is very specific about the coord format. I'm surprised the dev's haven't commented.
If enabled "useonmove", portal will teleport player to destination world and teleport back.
