Is Multiverse Missing that little something that you need?
Ask us! Or better yet, hop on our discord and tell us that you'd like to fork us and add a feature! You can of course do this without consulting us, but we cannot accept pull requests that will break Multiverse for the rest of our users! Don't go write your own World Management plugin, join the team and submit a pull request
Want your plugin to use the Multiverse API
(currently undocumented, sorry...) Again, hop on IRC and tell us! We love talking to other devs and a bunch of us will be able to help you out!
@x128
Thank you for kindly offering this information for those of us who are still to update. As to players files, there is an .yml and .json file for each player - should only .yml be modified?
Why doesnt somebody ask the makers of the plugin if they can take over to continue making the plugin if they want to?
I just updated my server to 1.7.8 and inventories seem to be fine. I have a backup of course, but things look to be OK so far.
Use multiinv - it's updated plugin instead of this abandoned one.
because to go from one world to another items of a world renamed? example: Dirt ('ll pvp world aora I go to spawn where I have the dirt) A.ADirt ?
@DigitalGeek
I had that problem too. Luckily I figured out a fix which required the Multiverse-Inventories config option 'save_load_on_log_in_out' to be set to true, which was the easy part. The hard part was going through every yml file in the plugins/Multiverse-Inventories/players and setting 'shouldLoad' to true for each file.
I did create a tiny self destructing Bukkit plugin that goes through every player's yml file and set 'shouldLoad' to true for each one. Message me if you're interested.
Before you install my plugin or edit the files, be sure to stop your server. Then rename your world/players/ folder to something like old_players. Place my plugin in your server's plugins/ folder or edit all the files manually and start up your server. The only difference is your players will spawn at the original spawn of the world, but that's a very minor issue. Inventories will be perfect.
This whole process allows you to use the latest Bukkit builds without any issue at all.
Again if you're interested in my plugin let me know. I can give much clearer instructions as this was just a brief overview :)
@Iwitrag
If you have delays(Like my server)this isn't an issue...
But I could see that being an issue for some.
@TWSSYesterday
Will this plugin be updated or is it just inactive ?
Hi,
Is it possible to remove Multiverse-Inventories yet keep inventorys? Almost like moving them back into the world folder..
Thanks!
@lecraeman
They only update this plugin in order to add UUID etc...
but they are not anymore resolving those serious issues - for example when you are in creative world, open inventory and then suddenly paste /home (which is in survival world) it will not change inventory so you can make infinite amounts of diamonds in survival etc...
Also this is quotation from main page Support for Multiverse-Inventories issues is next to non-existent.
If Anyone does this as well and wants to revert, this will Help a lot: http://www.spigotmc.org/wiki/uuid-conversion/ Okay I have an issue... one I thought was this plugin's but now I'm not sure, other than the UUID fact and the plugin not being able handle it.
So I use this plugin and of course the MV-Core. I attempted to update to the latest Spigot Dev version 1406. I now realize that was a horrible Idea (and really need to stop working on server half awake). Everyone who joins now has there inventory reset and they are moved to the First Spawn spot as if they've never been in the server.
I have already reverted the Spigot version to a known working one and restored MV-Inv Backup, but problem continues.
Any idea if I can recover from this?
EDIT: New Folder was made in the main world folder called playerdata where all of the folder players has been converted... Why couldn't they have left a backup. Any idea's on reverting this? Sorry I think this question is no longer pertaining to this plugin...

@TWSSYesterday
Yay :D
Ok can I have some help? I need to make economy per world with this plugin but I'm not sure how to do it since it is a built in optional. I don't knowhow to disable it! Will someone please tell me how to disable share economy!?
@Iwitrag
Not abandoned at all. Check the developer builds ;)
@spazmonkey777
It'll affect it a lot. Since everyone's inventory is saved based off of their username, if this doesn't update to UUIDs, someone can change their username and lose all of their items, and someone else could change their username to someone else's old one and get all their items. Then, the server owner would have to constantly work to transfer peoples' inventories to different usernames, which is easy for just one player, but not tens, hundreds, or thousands depending on how large your server is.
@Mcraftpete
If a player is in world1 when you get the plugin, it saves the inventory for world1, but when they go to world2 it gives them a blank inventory. And players in world2 when you install the plugin will only save the inventory in world2.
I'll try to pop into your IRC channel sometime soon, but I thought I'd post here too, at the risk of being ignored.
I would be more than happy to deal with resetting all inventory data if that were necessary for the bug fixes mentioned above. Personally, I haven't had any trouble with this plugin, so I continue to use it, but it does make me nervous to know there are acknowledged bugs waiting to bite me.
I totally rely on MV Inventories to separate my inventories between worlds and gamemodes, and particularly the economy separation. I have one survivalworld on my server in which the economy is locked down as tight as possible, and it is critical that my other worlds are isolated. I tried a few other plugins to achieve this but I always had problems before settling on MVI.
One last thing. I'm sure that you hate to be bothered with the 'When is...' question, but is there a tentative roadmap for MV3? Thanks for any information you can provide, it will help with migration planning. I'm really satisfied with the entire MV suite, and anxiously look forward to version 3.
Hi, I am copying my data onto a new server and will be using this plugin , when linking 2 worlds which inventory will it take first ? As I already have inventories on each world already ? Or does it combine both or does it depend on which world u visit first ?
If it joins both what happens with full inventories ?
Tahnks, Pete
Not sure how it will effect Multiverse-Inventories, but it may require an update for the new UUID's Mojang is putting in:
