@MutinyCraft
1.69 has been uploaded, it should fix this issue
@fletch_to_99
Thanks and sorry to get you worried. This is clearly a rare occurence, but I still plan on disabling MonsterIRC until a fix is released. I have enough stress at work and I don't want to have to worry about my SSD maxxing out. :o
Good luck with the fix.
@MutinyCraft
Yeah, I will fix this, now you guys have me worried its going to fill up my servers ramdisk :P (only 1.3 gb)
This will be fixed by the end of today
@fletch_to_99
I just had this exact same issue. I was checking on my server via SSH and when I brought up the console the server was stuck in some infinite loop. All I saw was "MonsterIRC" errors and I immediately shut down the server. I went to check the server.log and it was 2gb!!!! Since this is a dedicated server I can't even access the server.log without downloading a 2gb file, which I have decided against seeing someone already provided a similair log.
This is a huge problem and I am glad I caught it when I did. If this were to happen and go unnoticed for a few hours it could fill up an SSD/HDD and cause world corruption and all kinds of bad things.
Could you add some fail safe into this? I would much rather have MonsterIRC disable itself and not work, then to get an infinite loop, 2gb+ server.log, and an unplayable server.
@fletch_to_99
No, I'm not sure what caused it. The strange thing is, it happened even after a restart (and successful connection to the IRC servers/channels). A few seconds after the server finished loading, the console exploded with these messages again. What's even more strange is that they continued even after an /irc disconnect went through.
@EvilTelephone
I'll look into that, I'm surprised the issue wasn't suppressed, unless you have debugging mode on. I'm pushing an update tomorrow for a few bug fixes and some other new features. I will defiantly look into this issue. Do you, by chance know what caused that, did the bot timeout?
Today I noticed my server log exploded from around 50 MB to over 1.7 GB. Turns out MonsterIRC was flooding it with this same error over and over, even after a restart it continued. It spewed out 22.8 million lines of this into the log before I finally shut down the server and removed the plugin. Any ideas what happened?

@fletch_to_99
Awesome! Looking forward to download when it's ready. :)
@AcidSikeO
This is now fixed in 1.69
@jaggy80
Do you use mcmmo on that server? And I'm almost done 1.69, just adding what is left on the issue tracker
Okay, time to get that RB version done. :D Not getting the AuthorNag registered listener error, but, I am getting an error in following pastebin. Sometimes MonsterIRC works and sometimes it refuses to.

Hey, can u add support for owners in irc (prefix )
@fletch_to_99
http://pastebin.com/fuZUMm5t
Included the chat message before and after it.. pretty sure its always the one after. Maybe I have some strange chat formatting I need to change, but it works on the server without Factions installed
@jaggy80
Is it giving you a stacktrace? If sou could you post that on pastebin and leave the link to it here?
Getting an error every time certain players talk but only on the server running Factions.. Something about it adding faction name to the player's message is causing this. Possibly the colored formatting for if they're your enemy or ally, etc. Seems to only be on Peaceful players that it errors. Anyone else with this issue?
@fletch_to_99
K, thanks for replaying
EDIT: can u make it so if they have the right permissions the bot will msg all the console info to them (NOT NOTICE)
@uncovery
Thanks for this I have pinpointed this issue (it is due to a new event found in the latest development builds of bukkit.) I will not be releasing a fix for this until there is a RB is out because this will break all 1.25 servers currently (which most servers are on because they don't run dev builds). The plugin will still use the old event for messages until the RB is out in which I will update it. This won't cause any performance issues and it will still work with newer builds of bukkit however they have just depreciated the event.

Also, I got the mv world flags added and will be in the update tomorrow.
@breezeyboy
It is supposed to be a single characterthat you set and there is no space between the prefix and the command, for example you would do ',help' if the command prefix is ','
I have op on the channel, have ingames commands enabled and when i type a command like .c help (i have .c set in the config) it says unknown command always
