What is MobHunt?
MobHunt is a highly configurable mod that was created to bring a competitive, fun and (unknowingly) an intense element to monster hunting and killing.
With MobHunt you can set specific worlds to run hunts at times you want, with the prizes you specify!
How does it work?
Players join a hunt for a hunt enabled world by typing /joinhunt. When the time of the hunt comes and there are enough players, the hunt will commence.
Before each hunt, information specific to the hunt will be broadcast to all players in the hunt.
Hunts can take place through out the world, globally, or that can take place in specific areas.
While the hunt is active players will have to kill mobs specified the hunt to get points. When the hunt comes to an end, the player with the most points will be the winner. Followed by second place, third place, and runners-up. If players have passed the threshold for their category then they'll receive rewards.

If you have a problem, please Paste your config and a log of server startup.
I just added this plugin tonight, as my old friend used to use something very similar on his server years ago. There are 2 things I'd love to know.
1: How come I don't get points for skeletons? They show in the points section in the config for the world, however, no points are given upon killing a skeleton, which is rather irritating as they get in the way of killing other things.

That's all I would like to know at the moment! Thanks!!
Hey I found a bug, people that are not participating in a hunt still get the "this mob spawned in a cave" or "this mob spawned from a spawner" error messages when they kill mobs.
@drunkenmeows
Very cool! Eager to see what you got then :D
@Archer6621 I agree, I'll have a look at this for a next release. I have a version 5.0 that was in the works a long time ago. A lot was re-written.
@wrecktify80
Having a look now, hopefully have something for tonight if you don't mind testing.
Thanks for your time, standing by! Inbox me your paypal address so I can show you my appreciation for updating this plugin.
Hey, this is like an updated version of MonsterHunt, really nice!
I was wondering, is there a way to turn off certain messages? For instance, it would be nice if I could stop a certain message from appearing (such as the "hunt in x days" reminder) by just removing it from the config, but that doesn't seem to work.
I'm asking because the announcerdelay option is not ideal in my case (I'm quite unsure what it means anyway, is it a global delay for every possible announcement? Or does is it just the delay for announcing upcoming hunts?).
Ideally I'd just have it announce a hunt when it is about to start, like 1-2 minutes before it starts, if you could implement something like that it would be awesome :D
EDIT: Figured that it does this already, still I would appreciate a way to vastly reduce the verbosity of the plugin, I noticed that it also posts a huge message with the hunt details, I'd rather have it not display that since I'm not going to change it more than once, and maybe also a way to turn off the count-down.
@wrecktify80
Yea, no worries. I found a codebase of 4.20.something. Looks like a mid point between 4.20 and the version 5 I was working on a long time before bukkit died. I wish I had put this on github along time go...
Anyway I think I can get you a build sometime mid next week as I'm away until Tuesday night.
I have spigot API checked out and compiled so I should be able to get you a jar when I have the chance. I'll be in touch.
I had about a dozen+ plugins produce this similar error and most updated their plugin within 1 day. I'm sure there is plenty of info already in the spigotmc.org resources about this as they maintain the 1.9 bukkit codebase now. Thank you for any time you look at this

@wrecktify80 Alright I will have a look, if you could post any errors that it has from running it, that'd be really helpful. Hopefully I have the codebase for this version still. If not I'll look at the last codebase I did work on.
Anyways, no promises but I'll see what I can do.
We use that plugin for collecting $$, its just a plugin to pay for killing mobs. Your plugin created a really fun minigame for survival that is unlike any other. From what I understand most plugins were updated fairly quickly to be 1.9 compatible unless you used large amounts of NMS code, but seeing as your plugin worked great up until 1.8.9 I would imagine it would only take a small fix to make it work again. I wish I could code or I would offer to contribute work to make it happen. Thanks for your time and a great plugin.
@wrecktify80
I could but I honestly don't know what state the codebase is in... this looks more active and more complete
Mobhunting
It worked fine all the way up to 1.8.9. It has been an absolute hit on our server.. we will miss it greatly if it doesn't get updated. If there is any chance you could make it 1.9 compatible it would make my day
@wrecktify80
I'm surprised this is still even working. I haven't looked at this in years. :/
No longer working on 1.9, throwing an error.. bummer
Works fine for me on spigot 1.8.8
Is this dead now or moved to spigot? It was a really handy plugin, if a bit spammy. But would be great to get it going again.
if it work well with 1.7.2?
This plugin looks great for PvE and I'll add it to my server but... may I ask what other plugins you also have on blockodyssey in the PvE world as well? I'm finding it hard to locate good PvE plugins. :(

On one of the first hmod servers I played on this plugin was there! It hasn't got any updating in a while, but I am happy to see this project grow again :) Thanks alot ♡
Edit: Back in the old days it was called monsterhunt, I believe it is the same :)
