MineralManager
Mineral Manager
This plugin is designed to allow server administrators to have tighter control over their server's economy as well as introduce new and interesting experiences for their players. MineralManager is the second generation of the MineralVein plugin; with improved performance, customization, control, and reliability it makes a big jump forward from the original concept.
This plugin works by allowing specified blocks to regenerate after they've been broken. From Cactus to Diamond, from Dirt to Logs, admins can control which blocks are allowed to respawn, where they're allowed to respawn, and what should take their place when they're broken. This plugin also allows for a bit of randomness in its regeneration by using a degradation parameter that causes blocks to sometimes forgo respawning when they're broken.
You can do anything from creating public mines near spawn filled with iron and coal that never breaks so new players get started quicker to having secret forests that regenerate completely after enough time as passed. Diamonds would become something for your players to guard and protect rather than something to find, mine and move on. An innocent patch of grass could even have gold ore hidden inside. The possibilities are endless and the excitement is contagious! Make your server unique and fun with this easy, yet intricate plugin.

This project is on haitus right now as I'm extremely busy with work and family. I apologize for the slow update and the lack of information and transparency with the project. Hopefully as time goes on I'll be able to continue development and get back to updating and maintaining the plugin! If you are interested in picking up the project as a developer please send me a personal message and we can discuss the particulars. Thanks for all your support and I hope to get back to this project as time allows!Crastor is currently maintaining MineralManager!

Not as of yet. If you're interested or know someone who is please refer them to here! :)
Has anyone taken over development yet?
Hey, I have a question, is this plugin working with custom blocks? I'm using it with forge but it appears I can't have my customs Ore respawning :/ Can you do something for the ones who use mcpc?
By the way, good job, it was the plugin of my dreams ^^
Hit'
hey hell, is there a reason that sometimes the plugin doesn't respawn the stone i tell it too? Like the person will break it but no message pops saying in 30 seconds it will respawn and usually what i got to do is replace the block and destory it myself to get it to respawn properly..
Also anyway right now that I can disable the messages for players. So they don't get spammed on respawn time? If it's not possible, may I make a suggestion and when you update to 1.4.6 you add it in lol
This needs serious updating now :L
@evooni
Approximately half of the servers using this plugin (and MCStats) are running 1.4.6 so I'm assuming it is working splendidly!
@Qwahchees
It's not crazy or scammish! Actually the source code for all projects on dev bukkit is available to anyone who can download it. Sadly I don't have the time to help you learn java and plugin development but if you check out the bukkit wiki's dev portal there are some good tutorials on there that I learned from when I started making plugins.
Also, I apologize for not updating. I'm on my break now so hopefully I'll get some time to implement some new features and fix some of the few bugs!
Wow, this sounds AWESOME! Can anyone confirm if it's working with 1.4.6?
Is this working for 1.4.6?
@hellfire212
That sounds fantastic! Also hellfire, I'm interested in developing plugins for Bukkit. And as crazy and "scammish" as this sounds, is there anyway you could share source code to me for my education? Or walk me through how you decided to code this plugin? I'd really love to learn :), and I got my exams coming soon too :P
Thanks!
@Qwahchees
I'm actually just waiting to have some spare time to work on it. I've been really busy with school this semester but as winter break is approaching hopefully I'll have a chance to get some work done on the plugin!
Or else I might see if I can't solicit some help from the wonderful bukkit community.
This seems to work just fine with 1.4.5 R03
I'm guessing you're waiting for a Stable Release till you update? :) been using this for months.
Any updates in the works for this? :D
@MedievalCraftBrennian
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
1 - Yes! Absolutely! If you look in your config.yml file there should be two fields that look like...
displayMessages:
onBlockBreak: This %b will be available in %c seconds.
onBlockProspect: This %b has already been mined.
In your case you'd just change it to
displayMessages:
onBlockBreak: false
onBlockProspect: This %b has already been mined.
2 - This is possible, and very easy to do! :)
Again, in your config.yml file under the CONFIGURATION section you should have a bunch of different configurations, one of which you chose when creating your region from the prompt while on your server. Under that configuration (probably "example_home" or something similar) you can set a field "placeholder: STONE" or "placeholder: 1" to make it so when managed blocks are mined they turn to stone instead of air.
If you're still looking for more help check out Setup and Usage and MineralManager v2.1 Info! Hope this helps!
Hello, I think this is a great plugin ...
but some questions,
1: Is there a way to disable the message when you destroy something?
2:Maybe a cool feature : if you break a ore it would change into stone instead of air :)
-Brennian-
Whenever I reload the server the world sets to config: DEFAULT, how do I keep it from doing that?
Or how do I simply set the global as Default?
@hellfire212
So..next patch?
@jwmpine
That is not currently possible, however that is also an often requested feature and will hopefully be implemented when time allows. :)
Hey hell I'm back lol.
I had a question is it possible to put the re-spawns of ore on random? So instead of like iron re-spawning in 2minutes every-time, I can have it re-spawn in 1minute to 5minutes or 10secs to 5 minutes. Just curious if this is a possibility?
@iSleepzZz
What kind of strange errors are you getting? Can you please submit a ticket with the relevant details :)
@Slappygilmore
Not right now, that is an often requested feature however and I'm looking to implement that! :)
