Promotion Commands

Commands are set though the commands.txt configuration file. Adding commands is quite simple, for every command that you want, add a new line to the configuration file that looks like the following:

mod = Moderator

The above example creates the command /mod on your server and when used will change a users rank to Moderator. So to make Jim a Moderator, you would use /mod Jim. It's that simple.

Note: Due to us being unable to create custom commands for the console, please use changegroup rank player instead. You only need to do this if you are using the console. As an example, to make Jim a member, you would run changegroup Member Jim.

If you also use McftProfiler, you can also provide a reason when promoting or demoting users. To do this, simply add a reason for promotions or demotions at the end of any command.

For a more in depth description of how this works, read the configuration page.

Checkrank

Check rank is a simple command that outputs the rank of a user. As an example, to check Jim's rank, run the command below:

/checkrank Jim

You will receive a response similar to Jim: Guest.
