Legacy
If you are upgrading from a previous <2.0 version of Legacy, please remove your old config.yml before installing.
Legacy v2.1
Legacy keeps track of each player's time spent in your server. Similar to the "/played" command found in MMO games like World of Warcraft, you can now check the time of yourself and other players. The time is displayed in days, hours, and minutes, however the configuration file is accurate up to the second. Legacy is very light-weight and requires zero configuration, except simple permissions.
Features
- Keeps track of each player's game time
- Pauses game time if player is idle
- Display your time or another player's time
- Display leaderboard of top players
Comments, suggestions, or bug reports post below, or to the GitHub page.
Special thanks to exload for idea/concept and testing contributions and vioCode for the initial implementation and maintainment.
Command | Permission | Description |

Hey! I made short tutorial of ur plugin feel free to add it if u like it here is the video :) And if u want to me make a new tutorial that works too just msg me here :)
Please you added time players also with week and mounth. Not only all time.
I stopped developing Bukkit/Minecraft plugins over a year ago. I am considering getting back into it as the recent Minecraft updates (1.6, 1.7, and the upcoming 1.8) is pretty sweet.
If I do get back into it this will be the first plugin that I update and do everything I can to implement as many suggestions as possible.
If you have any inquiries, please email me at [email protected].
He vioCode, if you could add mysql support, that would be great since i host a bungeecord server
i have a player called 22pantherxx and Panther. When i type /legacy Panther it keeps coming up with 22pantherxx's time. Can you fix it so it does the player you type IN not another one.
Hey vioCode, I really love this plugin, if you could add an auto ranking feature it would be really awesome. This is a random question but how did you get so good at java coding? Thanks

Still waiting on that update. Could really use it.
@StanoMalek
I have been absent from coding Bukkit plugins for the past 6+ months and have, unfortunately, left all my plugins alone for that time. Now that I'm back to coding for Bukkit, I am going over all of my plugins and updating them so it will take a few weeks before I get to this. My update schedule is SmartEconomy, Nexus, Legacy, and then Shout. So this is 3rd on my list.
@BEASTLYx_COOKIE
I can explore that as an option.
@bitasy
That is a highly requested feature, one that I really should add. After an initial update to get it up to snuff, I will then explore adding additional functionality with this being top priority. Although, I do have a question: when referring to ranks, is this like forum ranks or permission ranks? Permission ranks, like in PermissionsEx, will be quite difficult, but forums ranks will be easy for me.
This is a really useful plugin, but it would be 1000x better if you could add ranks based on play time, as this is how our server currently ranks up players. We use /legacy [name] and have to manually add them, but autoranking would be a great feature to look into.
Is There Any Way That I Could Change The Color Of The PlayTime Message, If That Was Implemented, I'd Be Really Happy! :D
Please Update.
Bugs
-> a - A =/= A
-> /legacy sima =/= simanator
ect :)
add a auto rankup system i'm using: permission bukkit
@drumming102
Development has paused due to many life events, a full time job, wife and a 2 year-old son, etc. the plugin should still work and I hope to continue development soon.
this still work?
lol, yes. I suppose I'm very new at this, but I enjoy putting together little servers for some reason. This latest one is a hardcore (3 day ban) survival server that has a beefed up Monster Apocalypse plugin. Usually players that first spawn at night don't last more than minutes but some players have managed to last a couple of hours. The Legacy plugin offers them a way to track their time.
I've used Essentials for most of my permissions plugins before, but seeing how this latest server doesn't need it, I was trying to get away from any needless plugins. As I want to give all players this permission I've tried in the Legacy plugin.yml several different ways that didn't work,
permissions:
legacy.check:
description: Allows use of /legacy.
default: player, players, user, users, *blank.
I was going to use permissionsbukkit but was hoping there was an easier solution then adding another plugin to the server.
As I said, fairly new at this, but enjoy doing it, probably more than I enjoy playing the game... and I know that I'm an idiot :)
...any further clues?
Give them the permissions
Hi, by default only the OP has permission to use the legacy commands. I was wondering how to change the plugin.yml file to allow all players to use the command. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Please add a feature that says how many hours a player has played in the past week or 2 and the first date of joining. Can you please give the option to show time online when the player joins.
I'm an op and use bPermissions and Vault.
I can check my own stats, but when trying (most) other people's names i get 'Player not found.'
I've even added the node legacy.others but without luck.
@vioCode
Thank you very much! :)
