Minecraft limitations
- Text inside holograms is always facing the player.
- Holograms are always visible through walls.
- Text size cannot be changed. You can make it bold and uppercase to make it look bigger.
- Floating items inside holograms will constantly rotate and bob up and down.
Credits
- Asdjke for the original idea in vanilla.
- bobacadodl for making image support easier with this library.
- samczsun for the Server Pinger library.

Why is this so dark while inside a building, but outside it is bright?
How do you change the color of a hologram and make it work with ClearLag?
@zpremio
Thank you for the response. I appreciate that someone took the time to make a plugin for this really cool concept in minecraft. The plugin is very useful and fun to experiment with.
@RoelandCache
I lost all horses (in loaded chunks only I guess) too on the server, running Spigot.
@PrivCraftAssociates
yes in version1.2 > http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/holographic-displays/?page=3#c64
Will we be able to add images like in the video to our holograms eventually?
Is there a way to do player names within the hologram?
If there is, what is the formatting for it?
@tomori_peti Thanks, I've deleted the old file and submitted a new version.
Working with 1.6.4 ?
would be nice to have player controlled visibility, or distance from hologram so its hidden within a shorter distance
also would really be nice if the effect was self illuminated, it seems you can't block the sunlight from directly above the holotext position without it making the text look really dull during the daytime, and you can't light it up with normal light blocks, and at night it looks hard to see.
hopefully mojang see it and pull the finger out and do some actual work improving the game.
I don't really understand how all this works but would it be possible to hide some/all holograms for other players when they enter a command?
I just installed this plugin on my server and used it as a tooltip for areas on the server. Would be nice if players can hide it if they want to.
@filoghost
:3
In version 1.1 we able to use uppercase letters in hologram names and the plugin stores it like an uppercase character as well, but the command's don't see the hologram exists if the name contain one. (However it can be seen on the list.)
Can you do that we can put for characters? if i have to change the maximum length of nick possible, say it x)
I tried to put a text and the replace he # by &6[x] and the ' '(space) by &f[x] using eclipse :p
@gamerover98 You will never use signs anymore :)
hi filoghost! watch this!
@magosum It can't be individual, but bungeecord integration is a good idea (difficult, though)
In hologram text you could put that detects players "X" server (BungeeCord and also the current server) and if this online would be very cool and epic besides this also the name of the player to say for example: Hello magosum and things well xp etc ... (using [Playername] for example) and support comand blocks (For change "X" time the hologram)
@MasterMithrandir Yes, they're loaded dynamically with chunks and removed on disable.
this is really cool and alot easier to use than how it was explained in the video
thanks can't wait for image support in v1.2
