GroupBasedPVP
What can I do with GroupBasedPvP?
With GroupBasedPvP (or GBPVP for short) you can create a complex PvP structure in your bukkit server. It is coded to be stable and easy to understand as much as possible. Besides the configuration options this plugin also comes with some permission nodes to expand your pvp imagination.So what are you waiting for? Take your damn editor and create a new pvp structure to your server!
Features
- Creating a complex PvP structure by using nearly any permission system
- Optimal Permission nodes to allow more setup options
- Coded to be easy, fast and stable
- MultiWorld support
- WorldGuard region support
Vault dependency
GroupBasedPVP requires Vault since v2.2. Vault is a library that is used by many developers to provide the same functionality of plugins for nearly every permission system. You can download Vault from dev.bukkit.org:

Really nice plug-in, but same issue than dickwick :(
@JohnPulse
Ticket please ;)
@LihPeu
Great :)
Hey,
not sure if its relevant, but since using the 1.4.4 dev builds, pvp restrictions don't apply to melee damage from a sword with the enchantment fire aspect. It might be bukkit, but thought would mention it. well made plugin, never broken between minecraft updates, thanks!
Edit: found out it was bukkit. http://dl.bukkit.org/downloads/craftbukkit/view/01564_1.4.4-R0.1/
Hello, I'm a MultiVerse user. Even when I do the /mv load command, the GroupBasedPVP plugin does not generate the config files for the missing worlds. Can you check this issue? Right now I'm using 1.4.2 Bk. Regards, JohnPulse
This plugin is what i need. But doesn't work at all. In config file i replaced the line AttackerGroup: AttackedGroup with my own GroupBob: GroupPatrick and nothing happened.. Bob's still killing Patrick's.
@Xickle
same here i am using gm do you think that is the problem
Since 2.0, my players can hit anybody even if they're from the team that's supposed to be friendly. I'm using Multiworld, and not multiverse for the world plugin. The config is the same as before 2.0, but it somehow ignores it. I've even tried copying the config in the separate world config and setting the modeWorld to true and false. It doesn't prevent friendly fire :/
@mafima
Emm sorry? What has a plugin to do with a Firewall? That's defiantly not GBPVP then.
@Xickle
@dickwick
Please try version 2.0
its not working for me. it says something, that i need to disable my firewall first.. :/
I have two groups and I want to disallow pvp between these two groups, but let pvp inside each one of them. How can I do this? This doesn't work
Group1: Group2 Group2: Group1
@HomerBond005
Yeah it does. If I erase them, it restores the defaults back
@Xickle
Does this happen to all values?
@HomerBond005
No that doesn't work :/ It just regenerates the config with "Group1NoPermAttackGroup2: The group %g1 is not allowed to attack the group %g2!"
@Xickle
Of course you can. Just insert an empty string in the config: Group1NoPermAttackGroup2: ''
Great plugin for my server! :D However is there a way to disable the message in "Group1NoPermAttackGroup2"? It spams the players chat, when he's needed to hit somebody to give them health. (it's how I've set it up in the config HealthAttackedPlayer: "1")
@JohnPulse
Thank you very much, but please open a ticket for it.
Hello, I'm getting dome NPE's now and then with v2.0 Beta and RB 1.3.1. http://pastebin.com/nkQQvaYp I don't get complaints about something not working with the plugin, so... Regards, John
@HomerBond005
Oh, thanks :)
@Hobgoblino
group1: group1 group2: group2
That's it. Members of group 1 can't attacker them selves and the same with group 2.
@MyPictures
It's where I read! I have tried in different ways to do the thing that I need, but it didn't work...
