Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Is there any way to allow pistons to push in and pull out of claims? I can't find it anywhere in the config file.
@elirock12
Pasting stuff like that in a comment usually spams and isn't readily readable, http://paste.yu8.me is much preferred over a huge comment. (I also am not going to spend the time trying to understand the mess down there.)
@Tux2 Thank you for your time I did a complete clear out of my server except from world and perm file and it works.
hey, i own a server and i have grief prevention, i love it but ever since i updated it i wasn't able to claim more land. can u please help ill post the config

@john01dav
You can change the db name in the config:
URL: jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/database_name
Just change the database_name part to your database name. localhost is your db host name and 3306 is the port.
Would it be possible to limit claim blocks per player in world so he can claim only certain amount of blocks? We have additional pretty limited world and I don't really want someone just go and claim like 25 thousands blocks
Basically stuck with this plugin the only cause of lag on my server lol...
Hey tux2, could you please add a configuration option to change the database name because mt server host only gives me one database?
OK, thanks!
@arhtech
Set claim requires permission in the config to true then give the permission griefprevention.createclaims the your admins.
Great plugin, way to go guys! I have one brief question, how do I make so only admins can set a claim? I want to have cities subdivided into plots (as some of your videos have demonstrated) but I don't want players making claims in the wilderness.
lucifer thank you so much, it worked!
@datdenkikniet
That just means ya have your world in the Creative rules list in the config. You can simply remove it, although from what I've seen, if the list is completely empty, it'll repopulate with all worlds. So if it's the only world, it seems that you can just stick a fake world name in there, unless there's another way around that, which I've not found out yet. Other than the creative rules function, the plugin works the way you want by default methinks.
I want to let everyone build everywhere, exept in claims of others, what do i have to enable/disable in the config? And how do I let people drop stuff with Q? Because I cant!
Hey tux2 I don't want to be very annoying on the topic but do you have any build to fix the Blockfromtoevent issues? Thanks :)
@RubiksCharge
Upgrade your java
@LEOcab
GriefPrevention does unlock chests when you've won the siege, at least it does with vanilla chests. I'm unsure what your issue is?
I made a plugin request regarding Grief Prevention's siege mode. If anyone understands plugin programming and knows how to use the GP API, check it out:
