Lite Survival Games Manager
Lite Survival Games Manager
This project is abandoned. Use an alternative plugin.
Description
Survival Games have become popular in Minecraft recently, with the Hunger Games movie. The goal of the game is simple: survive. Players must adapt to the environment, find resources, and - most importantly - kill. The last player standing is the winner. The goal of this plugin is to allow players to run servers - whether big, public servers or smaller ones with friends - easily and make the experience more enjoyable. The hope for this plugins release is to allow admins to add maps, configure the plugin, then run the server and take the day off. Making the entire game automatic and requiring no admin at all.
Features
- Create a backup of the world to reload after the match
- Automatically refill select chests with select items
- Set players to spectate mode after death
- Changeable time limit
- Automatically restart and reload world after the match.
- Allow admins to set hosts with simple commands
- Keep track of individual scores
- Store data in a SQLite file
- Allow a server to load different maps in a map cycle
- Allow multiple spawn points to be set up
- Black or white list blocks that can't or can be broken, respectively, by players in-game
- Voting to start a game without an admin
- Selecting a button/lever to be triggered on game start
- Auto start with minimum players
- Peace time
- Players kicked after death
Spectate mode will god players, allow them to fly, make them invisible, and prevent them from interacting with the world. They can also teleport to players.
Use
- Set the server up for auto restart. See the section below.
- Edit the config files to your liking. They should be config.yml and blocks.yml in the plugins/LSGM folder.
- Add a map to the map cycle. Type /lsgm addmap <mapname>. You can add as many maps as you'd like, they'll be randomly picked from the file (same map can not be repeated) to be loaded on restart.
- Set spawns. You will want an individual spawn for the maximum players on your server. If there are too few spawns, more than one player should be spawned at a spawn point. Stand on the spawn point and type /lsgm addspawn <id>.
- Add chests. Chests will be automatically refilled on a set time or will be refilled on the command /lsgm fillchests. Look at the chest and type /lsgm addchest <id> [group], or - if you feel that your computer can handle it - type /lsgm addchest all and every chest on the map will be found automatically. You must fly around and make sure you load every chunk on the world to get every chests! Currently, we can only find chests on loaded blocks.
- Back up the world. This allows the world to revert to its original state when it is loaded next. Just type /lsgm backup.
- If necessary, add a start button or a lever. This will be activate when the game starts. Look at it and type /lsgm addbutton <id>
- Start the game. Go ahead and type /lsgm start [chest refill delay in minutes] [time limit in minutes]. If you do not specify a refill delay or a time limit, they will default to a 15 minute refill delay and no time limit.
- Check for bugs! There are probably going to be a lot. Not an understatement.
- Type /lsgm help for various other commands.
- If set, the server will automatically restart after the game.
Recommended: Download AntiCheat to easily disable client mods and prevent exploitation!
Auto Restart
In order for the server to start up again after the plugin has stopped it, you must change the file you use to run the server (e.g., RUN.bat). You will need to loop through the java -jar command so that it is ran when the server goes down. See the examples below:
Windows (*.bat)
@ECHO OFF SET BINDIR=%~dp0 CD /D "%BINDIR%" :start java -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit.jar goto start
Mac/Linux (*.sh)
#!/bin/bash BINDIR=$(dirname "$(readlink -fn "$0")") cd "$BINDIR" while true do java -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit.jar done

i have a request can you make it so you can put all the chest in a certain radius in the chest-list my server would really appreciate that so the admins don't have to find all the chest in the hunger games map <3 oh and also can you make it so you can see the remaining tributes please and this is a little bonus (you don't have to do but i really would like it) if you can make a wall so u can click the signs and poof your in the hunger games?
And lastly if you need a tester i would love to test this awesome plugin :D. i would get the survival games but i don't like it how they keep randomizing the chest!i like the chest on how they are put not randomized so please don't do that
Any Updates or news?
@hockeygoalie5
What about my question?
Sorry for not being able to keep up with your bug reports. I've been very busy with work (got to put food on the table), so to make sure your problems are solved faster, Noah will be handling debugging once he gets off of work today. I promise that as soon as I'm able, I'll give you guys some awesome updates including displaying live stats on a webpage.
Any update on the teleport bug?
Hey there!
When i have extracted the jar file from the download, and runs the server, it says it cant run the file. It also says something about Javapluginloader. Why? I am not very good at this. Please help me.

@tek2005
We are looking into that issue. We will be able to address the problem when we get off of work. Yes, everyone starts in spectate mode.
Hello, love the plugin :D
Im having 2 issues with it though. Sometimes players are spawning into the same setspawn points (tribute spawn points) instead of into individual holes, and some players are remaining into spectator mode. (they are invisible, but they are considered alive) any way to fix this? thank you. :D
(on side note: is everyone suppose to start off in spectator mode before the game begins..?)
Multiverse support?
yes, but when the game starts, trying to do anything still results in "no one to teleport to"
They will be able to edit the world once the game starts and they are no longer spectators. Otherwise, to be a spectator and be able to edit the world, they would need to be a host.
Is there any way to change this? I'm using it on a hunger games server and would like to allow people to edit the terrain.
Thanks,
Sorry for the wait, I didn't get power till late last night. If you want to modify the world while using LSGM, you must be a host. Otherwise, you are blocked from interacting with anything. Use the sethost command.
Plugin seems to have potential, and looks good from what I see but please fix the "teleport" issues. It also applies to walking over pressure plates.
Thanks, Dribbles
Feature Request:
I was wondering if you could add the ability for the plugin to 1. Similarly to Hawkeye or LogBlock, track block changes during the match. 2. At the end of the match, restore the required blocks to their original state.
That way there's no point on restoring the map afterwards.
And I can't wait for multi-world functionality, I would love to add this to my existing server on a separate map.
@JJoHH
This plugin for designed for one world use atm. Once its loaded on the server its full protection mode etc.
@hockeygoalie5
I didn't even start the game and I still get the "No one to teleport" Issue. It's not letting anyone build :P
Sorry everyone, but we've had a storm and none of us have power. We'll get to your problems asap!
I'll try my best from my phone. You should not enable this plugin if you are not playing survival games . Spectators do not have spectate in their name in chat ,that's a different plugin. If you want to modify the world, then see the set host command.
@benny1102
Yes that's the same problem, and also every time you start a game. You left-click you teleport to someone and right-click to teleport to yourself which is kinda useless
@JJoHH
with me as well, see if my symptoms are matching yours.
