Due to the fact that things can change rapidly in this project, I stopped maintaining instructions on the plugin and other information like a list of commands/permissions in the forums, on this page etc. and decided to create a central location where you can always find all information up-to-date: The DragonTravel-Wiki.
Please use this wiki and report all mistakes you find in there and avoid posting questions on topics like commands/permissions/sign-creation etc., which are answered in the wiki, in the comments.
The questions and requests posted in the comments are repeating and there are some questions we answer at least once per week, so we decided to write down some of those Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read the questions below and see if you can find your question there, this really saves us time we can then spend on the development of DragonTravel.
- Is it possible to change the speed the dragon's wings are flapping?
- Is it possible to remove the dragon's health-bar?
- Is it possible to control the dragon manually?
- Is it possible to move the rider closer to the dragon to avoid him flying above it?
- DragonTravel does not start, what can be the problem?
You can find the answers to those questions in the FAQ!
Please read the paragraph above before posting any questions!
@CheetahCraft
I can take a look at this, but not before Monday.
Would be great to know which versions of craftbukkit and DragonTravel you are running. :)
I love the plugin but i cant remove stationary dragons, i don tknow if its a problem with my server or with the plugin. I've tried to remove the plugin and re add it but the stat dragons are still there. Do you know how i might be able to fix this, my server is a mcprohosting server. Thanks for any help you may be able to give!!
@ServerMiner
Looks great, thanks for the information. :)
I embedded it on the "Videos" subpage linked in the description above. :)
We love your plugin so we decided to create a video to showcase its features!
We created a YouTube video tutorial for you, feel free to use it on your plugin info area: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY0L70Z3xOY
We have also created a written tutorial: https://serverminer.com/clients/knowledgebase/133/How-to-ride-a-Dragon-in-Minecraft-using-Dragon-Travel.html
You have permission to use both wherever you like :)
@NoobcrafterYT
Hey Noobcrafter,
first of all thanks for youe feedback!
Regarding your first point: I know about this problem and it is on my to do list, but it is not that easy to fix.
Regarding your second point: If you create a ticket for that, I'll see what I can do as soon as I find some time. ;)
This plugin is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! Exactly what I was looking for in creating my World of Warcraft esque server. I only wish I had read the commands yesterday as I just spent hours trying to spawn noAI Edragons but was getting frustrated with their rotations and non flapping wings.
I give it a 9 out of 10.
Reasons not full 10:
Other than those 2 things it's literally perfect.
Many thanks !!!
I use ticket system next time :)
@Layania
New version working with CB 1.10-R0.1 has been released, only waiting for approval. Please report bugs you find using the ticket system.
@SKILLMODS
But how are the "layers" done? Is it just one Minecraft world with some kind of ceiling at height 100 or how do you do that? Because DragonTravel can only handle different worlds if you just use the normal Minecraft world mechanics (e.g. the worlds nether, world, end or other worlds created with plugins like MultiVerse or similar). If you are using different mechanics, DT we will have a problem handling them.
@Phiwa
In 1 world. But the map is massive so its split into layers.
Waiting just DragonTravel 1.10 to update my server,
new release is coming soon i hope ? no problem ? :)
@SKILLMODS
The layers you describe are all in one world? Or are they set up in different worlds?
I am currently experiencing an issue with Dragon Travel with layers. Essentially my world consist of multiple different layers/regions and when im in a layer and try to fly to another one it can't find the correct location. For example I started in a layer and set a station, about 500 blocks above in another layer I tried to travel to the station in the other layer and it just flew up and was unable to find the correct area. It should have flown down, to my understanding the plugin was trying to find those cords within the same layer and not checking in other layers where the station was actually set.
Just wondering if there is anyway to make it check for different layers of the world or even if its possible to get an updated version to allow this to be possible.
Thanks.
@xH3LLRAIZ3Rx
Yes, the dragon travels some way towards those coordinates and is then teleported to the nether where is moves to the exact location and dismounts the rider. That's what it should behave like and that is what it behaved like when I tested it. :)
@HarryJamesD
Not really, I was not able to reproduce the problem yet. Could you give me the exact coordinates (including the decimals where you get stuck? I need them as exact as possible (e.g. x=536.6447857, y=642.8903769, z=57.2527063).
Any news on the ticket I posted? Loving the look of the plugin
@Phiwa
no, its more like this:
When using command "/dt travel nether1" in world "real", I'm brought to the Coords of nether1 but still in the world real
@HarryJamesD
I still need some details (see ticket) to work on this issue. :)
Hi Plugin is nicely set up with permissions but unfortunately dragons will not land
I am using factions but I still cannot land in areas which are controlled by my clan
Any fix?
(1.9.2)
@xH3LLRAIZ3Rx
I just tested it and if I got you right, this feature works as expected.
Szenario
Station "real1" in world "real" Station "nether1" in nether
When using command "/dt travel nether1" in world "real", I'm brought to the nether and dismounted at station "nether1".
When using command "/dt travel real1" in nether, I'm brought to the world "real" and dismounted at station "real1".
Is that what you meant?
can you make it where people cant use /dt travel stationname to a station thats in another world, it seems like your able to still travel to those coords even if you are not in the right world
@AgoniaMc
Sorry for the late response!
I just uploaded a new version of DragonTravel for CB 1.9.4-R0.1. :)
