CreeperTrap
THE DEVELOPMENT IS STOPPED UNTIL A CERTAIN PULL REQUEST IS ACCEPTED. THE CURRENT VERSION DOES NOT WORK WITH 1.4
This mod is simply an extension of CreeperHeal, to allow the users to create TNT traps. With it, you can create deadly traps based on TNT, and have it pop back up! Working hand in hand with CreeperHeal (on which it depends), you can blow up someone in your trap, and in a matter of minutes (or seconds, depending on the config), your trap is back and set up to explode again! Basically, traps are self-regenerating TNT blocks. Once they have exploded, they get repaired along with the terrain replaced by CreeperHeal.
Features
- Simple commands : simply look at the tnt block and type "/ch trap create", or break it to remove it!
- Economy support : You can have your players pay for each trap, and (if you want) get refunded when it is removed! (not when it blows up, of course)
- Permissions
- Administration tools : If a player has been too annoying with his traps, you can remove them all with a simple command!
YOU NEED CREEPERHEAL TO USE THIS PLUGIN!
The Permissions are here, and the commands here
Note: This used to be part of CreeperHeal's features, but has been moved to a side plugin. Importation is handled smoothly, you don't have anything to touch.
@Cultist_O
There might already be a way to do it, but right now I'm busy updating CreeperHeal. As soon as I can, I'll check how I can do it, and if it is possible I'll update CreeperTrap, and if not I'll update the pull request. Don't worry, this plugin is not forgotten!
So I see bukkit is going to fix the pull request problem now... WOOPIE!!!
Do you think this might mean we can finally have this plugin soon? I've been so lost without it
@funbi11112
I can't, that would create an unstable plugin, because I can't know where a TNT block was detonated, and thus whether it is a trap or not.
PLEASE UPDATE!!!
@joehot200
I may do that in the mean time. But not right now. And I think there might be some progress regarding the PR.
@nitnelave
ohh, yeah, i see what you mean.
could it be possible that when i have set a trap, it would set it to TNT every minute? this would mean you wouldent have to find the explosion location, just set the block to TNT every minute.
@joehot200
The problem is that I can't get the initial position of the exploding TNT, so this plugin doesn't work. As soon as there is a viable solution, I'll update.
@nitnelave
what exactly is a pull request, and what is the problem with this not working?
@nitnelave
NOOOOO THIS PLUGIN DOSENT WORK!?
@coolo1
I didn't test, but it doesn't surprise me. I don't think I'm going to update this plugin until the bukkit team accepts my fing pull request that I've tried to pass for several months...
Broken in 1.4
I have a problem when multiple TNT blocks are close together and made into traps. Sometimes, only one of the traps in the group will regenerate after they explode; usually it seems random. But, I've noticed that sometimes one TNT block will become activated before the others have regenerated, and when it explodes, afterwards it will not regenerate the other traps.
I feel like this could be avoided if there were a delay, for example, wait to regenerate TNT blocks until 10 seconds after all other blocks have regenerated. Also/or, that TNT traps cannot detonate if there are any other TNT traps in creeperheal's queue left to be regenerated.
@Ozelo
I'll have a look when I can, but that won't be any time soon, I'm not at home.
@glig
No. That would be useful, true, but I stopped developing.
is there a way to type a command like /ch trap make and after that each TNT block is part of the same trap ?
cause i would like tu make a big trap
hi, Im getting few errors... Initially the plugin works, but it always have infinite traps. then after few minutes, I got this:
@sheepwool7
Well, I removed it from CreeperHeal to simplify the plugin, as I added anti-griefing features. And now, you've got economy support and a config for the traps, with a configurable trap fee and a maximum numner of traps per person.
Doesn't creeperheal do this already? I know I am wrong since you made it but what part is new exactly?
Thanks!
