Color Portals
Color Portals lets users create portals in game with little effort and no commands to type!
Using wool, a sign, a pressure plate, and a button, players can create their own portals!
Features:
- No commands necessary to set up portals.
- Portals link automatically. No running back and forth setting locations.
- MultiVerse/MultiWorld compatible. Teleport between worlds with ease.
- No permissions required. (But are supported)
- No configuration required. (But many options are supported)
- Plug and Play.
Download now and try it out for yourself!
Optional Commands:
- /portal info or /cp info - Use while standing in or looking at a portal to get more information on the portal and where it warps to.
- /portal list or /cp list - Displays how many portals are registered on the server.
Color Portals is by far the easiest to use portal plugin to date and is also the most fun. People on your server will not be able to get enough!
I have put many hours of work into this plugin and it is my hope than anyone who enjoys the features it brings to their server will donate.
@Generyuu
There is no force save option at the moment but there will be in the future. Also, if you restarted the server and the portals still work then obviously the portals.yml is doing its job just fine. Your server doesn't have any sort of cache that would load old portals before a server reboot. New version with better saving is in the works.
At the moment, it doesn't appear to be saving to the portals.yml file. I have created a portal, waited an hour but the file remains blank. I wondered if there was a way to force the save.
Edit: After restarting the server, the portals still work. Now I'm unsure what the portals.yml file's purpose actually is.
@Scoarn
I'm having the same problem as Scoarn! Greetings!
@cloakfox1
Okay I will look into this. Thanks!
Im having the same problem as @scoarn I also tried to delete the plugin folder of color portals to let it generate a new one but did not work.
I love this mod. It's simple and it works... sort of. Unfortunately, it seems that every time I restart my server, all the portals I've created reset and are no longer linked. The portals themselves still exist but they no longer function until I remove and re-add the sign on each one. Considering the distances some of these portals cover, this is more than a bit inconvenient. Am I doing something wrong? Is there any way to manually enter portal links into the save file? Where is the save file located, anyway? All I see in the Bukkit plugins folder is a blank file called portals.yml. Thanks in advance for your assistance!
@RashaDali
If you go into the plugin folder, then ColorPortals, then Data, you will see a file called portals.yml. Delete this (or drag it into another location on your hard drive if you want to keep an alterate backup) and try reloading the server. You will have to recreate your portals but this should fix the issue. I know this is annoying and I am already working on a better saving system for the next update.
Everytime I try creating the portal, it says "there are already '0' portals on channel 99" or whatever channel im using. PLEASE HELP ME FIX THIS!!!!1
@Clubbedforsaken
No problem. I just updated my developer kit to 1.7 so I figured some people who still had 1.6 would post a lot of errors they were getting. Im glad thats all it was though. Happy I could help!
@Clubbedforsaken
update... ya it was my java.... damn now i gotta redo ALL my teleports again. lol thanks for the keen eye tooner. :)
I will gladly switch back to this plugin, as it was very easy to manage and use, but i have alot of places that require teleportation to, and hmm, i didnt realise i wasnt running a updated verson of java, ill get right on that. I can be impatient sometimes lol. Ill update my java, reload the plugin and see where that gets me :) ill update here. Thanks tooner. Hope vegas was fun :p
@Clubbedforsaken
I was in Las Vegas for 3 days without internet so I could not check on any of my projects. I am looking into the error now but what I think happened is that either A) You are using a dev build of 1.5.1 that has drastically changed from the dev build of 1.5.1 I compiled the plugin with or B) You do not have Java 7. I would most likely guess A though. Sorry you do not wish to continue to use my plugin but I will fix this issue as soon as I can.
due to the lack of responce time ive had to move onto other teleport plugins. this saddens me, but i cant wait any longer. highly recommend getting this error fixed, and maybe put some responcibility into chercking your plugin comments and help requests once in a while tooner. good day to you guys
There´s a Bug with the portal teleporter; This is a protected area from all the players, no one has the rights for breaking, also in the plugin config the user permission its true.

Hey tooner, so last night my server was running perfectly fine, portals was running smooth too... but this morning all of a sudden its giving me this error asking if the plugin is up to date? i then proceeded to update it to the 1.5.1 release you posted for us and its still asking if its up to date and NONE of my portals are running now. Is there some way to fix this?
Here's the error script from my consol, if you know how to fix this issue, please let me know man, cause i love this plugin :0

@PCPRANKSTERS
ofcourse.
Hey guys, I just want to ask you Does the plugin works on Bukkit 1.5.1,my minecraft is 1.5.1 too.
@sbelljobseek
On my computer (mac) I made a start.command file to run the server through terminal. If you are on a windows you should have made a run.bat file in which you run the server through the command prompt. (This way you can enter server commands through the command prompt). You should refer to setting up a Bukkit server so you can do this properly. It is not good just to double click the craftbukkit.jar file as it is difficult to close and hard to regulate your server without physically being online. Hope this helps!
When I load the craftbukkit.jar, it doesnt have any gui or command. How are you entering stop on the server?
@tenshyn21
Thanks for the info! I thought a part of the bug could have been people not shutting down their servers properly because when I type "stop" into the server console and restart it, the portals load up fine. I will still be rewriting the save method for the next update.
