ChunkLoader
ChunkLoader
This plugin allows servers to keep chunks loaded while players are not around chunks. Meaning you can keep your farms growing and your redstone ticking.
Please note that this plugin is not yet fully complete. A demo video will be added soon

What does this plugin provide
This plugin Provides a way to keep a chunk loaded in memory when the player moves away from it or logoff. I plan to make this fully customizable:
TODO List
- Chunk can be unloaded if player logs off
- Player can have a limit of how many chunks he can have and if he can set it.
- The chunk belongs to a certain player and only he can change it
- A radius can be set from that chunk (fully comiziable with config file)
- Chunks can be unloaded after a certain period
- Cost for the chunk to stay loaded
- Cost to make a chunkloader
- World Edit support
MCStats.
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics
notes: This plugin does work with ptweaks chunk unloading feature.
I cannot get farms to work while offline, either. Using craft bukkit 1.8.1.
I set '/chunkloader set' in the chunk where my crops are, but it does not seem to be working. I am using the latest 1.8.1 CraftBukkit.
@jclendineng
I tested it nobody online with only and farms and redstone worked.... I still need to work out how to do mobs :D (I knew I forgot something)
@madtomic
Yeah can do separate permission but I will not be able to support 1.7
This seems to work for farms, and redstone, only when player is on the server, but outside the chunk. Does not keep chunks loaded when no one is online, and does not work with mob farms. I will be following this, as a chunk loader is much needed on 1.8 :) keep up the good work.
@james137137
Can you please add permissions and also support 1.7.9?
I want the players to add/remove but not list the chunks.
Now supports 1.8
Well i'm now making this plugin into 1.8
Progress so far. It works for farms. and redstone
@james137137
Spigot updatet to 1.8
@james137137
As bukkit will not be moved to 1.8 this project is pretty much at a lost. I will be moving this plugin into a forge mod or sponge plugin
it seems my plugin (ChunkLoader) might no longer be able to update I will do some test later on but it seems to be next to impossible to keep the chunks loaded using only the bukkit API
this doesn't work, i set the chunks around my farm, went away for about 8 hours, and they hadn't grown
Is this still being developed?
Unfortunately I see no use for this at all, without permissions.
Works only with a 1.7.4 server? I'm looking for a new update :(
ps. chunks are loaded if all players are offline? To me doesn't work :(
@alin92
yes it will. I added a sqlite support :D
@RazorX2014
Yeah. when i do update this plugin I will add more features like /tp to chunks
This plugin work without a mysql database?
if this is still getting updated please add the ability for admins to tp to the chunks that are set so they can determine whether or not to leave them loaded
@Layania
i'm starting it might be near impossible to keep chunks loaded with a plugin with low CPU. is the plugin even working in 1.7.9 with this plugin?
@james137137
Many change between 1.7.9 and 1.8 ?
I'm hoping 1.7.9 is good to anticipate 1.8 changes ?
hey, i was just wondering how progress was going, thanks
