Chester-Herochat
Chester-Herochat: Chester integration with Herochat
A small, light plugin bridging the chat-bot Chester with the chat service Herochat. It allows server administrators to tell Chester to not log specified Herochat channels and private chat. The idea is to help keep Chester from blurting out sensitive or personal chat that other players said in private.
Dependancies
Chester (v2.3.0 or later)
Herochat
Commands
/chc reload - Reloads the config file.
Permissions
chc.admin - Gives access to reload command. (OPs automatically have access)
Setup
Just start your server with the Chester-Herochat.jar. The config will be created. You can then edit it and type /chc reload in your console or in-game (if you're OP or have the permission) to put the changes into effect!
To-do
Give server administrators the ability to set which Herochat channels Chester can be triggered from.
Enjoy!
*Big thanks to gomeow and the Herochat team for the work on their respective plugins. :)
@TheSigler49
Not a problem. In the meantime, try typing "/chc reload" in your console after the server has started. I have a hunch this may remedy the issue until the new build is approved.
Thank you so much!
@TheSigler49 Thanks for all the info.
I still wasn't able to replicate the issue. However I have uploaded a new build to Bukkit and it's awaiting approval. It contains a second check of all known Herochat channels if Herochat fails to return a channel after asking it directly if a channel exists. I also included a debug mode you can set in the config that should be useful if the problem persists.
@ebiggz The version is Herochat v5.6.5-b214

Operator and Staff configs
@TheSigler49
For the life of me, I cannot duplicate the issue. Making channels called Staff and Operator work fine for me. Even when I just use their shortcuts "s" and "o". Could you tell me what version of Herochat you use and a paste of the channel configs so I replicate everything exactly?
@TheSigler49
Sorry for the late response. I'm assuming you are using exactly what the channels are named in your herochat config files? I'm going to test this with these names and get back to you in a moment.
