BleedingMobs
BleedingMobs
Make your mobs bleed a little
BleedingMobs creates a blood effect, when you hit animals, monsters and other players. It generates blood particles using wool and redstone drops, that disappear after a short time and stain the floor with colored wool blocks. All particles can't be picked up and the wool blocks on the floor can't be broken. This plugin is highly customizable in the config.yml. If you need more options, just add a comment or create a ticket.
You should watch the videos to see the effects in action.
The idea for this project came after watching Yogscast: "Shadow of Israphel" Part 25 and 29.
Permissions You need the permission bleedingmobs.admin (default: op) to use the /bleedingmobs command. You need the permission bleedingmobs.bloodstrike (default: true), if you enable permission-only in config. If you enable the permission bleedingmobs.noblood (default: false), you will not bleed when hurt.
Statistics Since Version 3.4 this plugin sends statistics about the usage to the server http://mcstats.org/. You can disable it using the command /bleedingmobs disable-metrics
Having some problems with players being able to pick up some of the "blood" items
Could there be a way to make this plugin make mobs bleed out redstone particles, rather than redstone dust? I've seen this done on a popular network of servers called MineZ. In MineZ, hitting a zombie makes (I think) endstone particles (The ones created when destroying endstone) and hitting a player makes the redstone particle.
Thanks!

Maybe you can replace the redstone and wool blocks with red firework particles? That would be cool! :D
thanks for the updates, zombies still pick up the blood or bones, but at least they don't drop it as loot thanks again!
A new version 4.1 has been uploaded, it should fix the problems with mobs picking up items and dropping them as loot.
Perhaps you could use the same clevar hack that slam5000 does in http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/questionable-substance/ which only makes the block changes on a certain player. Perhaps players within a certain block or chunk distance could see the wool effects, but the mapdata not actually be changed? I haven o idea how slam5000 does this.
@schneeleo
i seem to be having the same issue as Zombiemold.
Zombies are picking up the red wool, and redstone, but when the mob is killed they drop the wool or redstone as a collectible item, but the items are enchanted wool or redstone.
Thank you for updating.
@Zombiemold
CB version?
The last time I checked the CB code they only should pickup armor and weapons. And I restricted those.
Sounds very cool!
Love the update! I really enjoy this plugin.
1 Issue, mobs pickup the enchanted items, so when they are killed they will drop them. Getting reports of picking up enchanted redstone, we tested it and found that to be the problem.
use beta and update the #$%^ thing please
Pls Update to 1.4.5
Still working for 1.4.2
Unless there is a stable build of Bukkit, that contains all events of 1.4, I can't update it.
Don't use this plugin until then.
@Thyrin The mobs are picking up the red wool and redstone and when they are killed, drops enchanted versions of them. It's quite odd really. I saw redstone unbreaking. O.o
please update to 1.4.2¡¡¡
Will this plugin be updated for Minecraft 1.4?
With 1.4, zombies are picking up the wool blocks and then dropping them. :)
Thank you form aking this wonderful plugin, I really love it and I am using it on my roleplay server. However I feel it is a bit 'excessive' at times. I was wondering if it were possible to add a feature where you can control how much damage must be dealt before bleeding, for example after 2 hearts or more. This is because it's a bit odd to start gushing out so much blood after someone punches you :)
Thank you.
