Backpack
Everyone wants extra storage, Backpack!
Do not use the 1.6.x builds of backpack with a 1.7.x. server....
Backpack
Core Features
- Configurable Drop on death
- Uses Vault for Economy handler.
- Allow your players to expand their Backpack from 9 slots to a max of 54.
- Multiworld support with different Backpacks or Sharing!
- Overflow abilities from players main inventory. (Must have at least 1 open slot to make overflow abilities work).
- Blacklist Abilities - deny certain items in the Backpack
- Fully functional API.
Spout Enabled Features
[Requires SpoutPlugin ]
- Custom GUI for Upgrading Backpacks.
- Custom Hotkey assignments for opening Backpack.
Multi-Server Enabled
- This plugin is written for both Bukkit and Spout Servers.
Developers:
- AlmuraDev Team
Configuration
File: config.yml
General:
- use-economy: Whether or not to enable economy system for backpack purchase & upgrades.
- use-spout: Whether or not to enable SpoutPlugin based features.
Admin:
- control-panel: Enable or disable Admin Panel.
- hotkey: KEY_V {default keybinding inside of Spoutcraft to display Admin Panel}
Backpack:
- no-perm-default-size: 9 {default backpack size if no permissions system found}
- hotkey: KEY_B {default keybinding inside of Spoutcraft to open Backpack}
File: blacklist.yml
- Contains list of items you dont want users to save in their backpack.Follow file format automatically created. Use only names of materials, not numbers.
File: share.yml
- Contains list of backpack shareable worlds.
share: world: - world_nether - world_end
In this above configuration, WORLD is the name of the Parent World. The child objects below it will be the name of shared worlds from the parent. Simply modify the name of your Parent Worlds to get the specific world sharing you desire.
- If you used any previous build of Backpack prior to build 81, I would advise you that if you decide to use the world sharing feature, delete any world directory in your /backpacks/ directory that is now being shared. The existence of these now un-used files give troubles for the upgrade procedure under very specific circumstances.

Many thanks for your consideration.
Don't be posting comments or other stupid remarks regarding Backpack not working for version 1.7.x.
The build that is public is clearly stated for 1.6.x. If you are impatient and cannot wait for our development team to get to this then remove backpack from your server...
Is there a command for purging files from players that haven't logged in within the last "x" days? I have over 30,000 backpack files. =/
@Nissix76
Give them also backpack.upgrade, then players have to do /backpack upgrade twice.
@Dockter
I edited the cofig so the default size was 54 (For my vip rank) but when I set myself as vip and do the command it is the 9 slot backpack.
I was just wondering where I can download the source code from as I see you are using an open source license for this plugin. The repository page does not contain a link to a source code repository.
@F1shb0nes
I agree, but you must do something wrong. Upgrade works fine for me.
@TheOnlyRealTGS This also seems to be the case regardless if its an existing user getting additional nodes for more backpack space, or a new user starting off with, say, all the slots the plugin can provide.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when a new player joins, and a new backpack file is created, wouldn't it be prudent for the plugin to first check how many total slots the player has permissions for? IMO that seems to me better than forcing all those players to do unnecessary /backpack upgrades.
@xXxNahanxXx
You need to do /backpack upgrade after getting the new perm.
Your permissions won't work. no matter what i do, it only lets people have a 9 slot backpack. i did everything i needed to with permissions, but no luck. now i'm not sure if i'm messing this up somehow, or i'm right in saying the only way to have larger backpacks without allowing people to upgrade VIA command, is by doing it all manually in the player backpacks
@xH3LLRAIZ3Rx
... You, sir, have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Good government, what's with all the anti-spout bigotry in the bukkit community?
Spoutplugin was not by any measure a failure. It got discontinued by the original dev team, but was revived recently, largely thanks to the efforts of Dockter, who you might notice is one of the devs of this plugin. Spoutplugin is currently up for 1.6.4 and works fine. (I think they might have renamed it Spoutcraftplugin, in order to make the naming convention less confusing.)
At any rate, that has absolutely nothing to do with the status of Spout. They originally abandoned Spoutplugin so that they would have more time to work on Spout.
Drop spout and just use a Chest GUI, Spout is no longer good, because the Spoutplugin was a failure
it would be cool if their is an item such as a chest in the players inventory which then can be right clicked to act as the backpack instead of having to keep typing the command similar to: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/realistic-backpacks/
@dockter
Sorry for the late answer, it's files that are completely empty generated for people that don't even have permission for the backpack.
@TheOnlyRealTGS
How do you propose determining which backpacks are "useless" ?
The spoutplugin link is either dead, or no existent anymore. Also it does not charge me money when I upgraded my backpack. Last thing, is there anyway to down grade the backpack or some how reset it? Help? PM me please!
@dockter
Hi, will this be uploaded to bukkit?
And could you take a look at this ticket again?
http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/backpack/tickets/28-remove-useless-backpack-files/
(You could simply check if the player have the permission backpack.use and if not, it should not generate a file)
Some of us have limited space ;)
Yep, I just posted a 1.6.2 R1.1 update, works with 1.5.2 as well.
@dockter
so you still update your plugin? why don't you put the updates here? also i need a 1.6.4 version if you really updated it.
I would get this plugin but I would like a few new things. Can you add a permission such as:
backpack.multiple.(number here like 12. Meaning they can do /bp 1 /bp 2 /bp 3 and so on. I just want there to be multiple GUI to be able to open. So like if their first backpack is full then they have more. Thanks!!

@dockter
I would like one if it's stable :)
