BackPacks++
BackPacks
Hello there! Do you hate it when you're exploring your minecraft world and you find some shiny diamonds but your inventory is full? Well then this plugin is something for you! This plugin aims to be the best inventory-expander in the bukkit plugin world. While it is very advanced it's still easy to use and easy configurable. You can add as much backpack types as you want. If you have any question or suggestions, don't hesitate to pm me! (Asking things in a comment will not get support!)
How to use BackPacks?
Using the plugin is fairly easy. The default backpack recipe is a chest surounded by leather and the default size is 27. Since version 1.6 you can also open a backpack by right clicking in the air! When crafting a backpack you will notice it's name and the lore, the lore is a purple integer '0', now when first right clicking your backpack you will register it. A message will popup: You registered <backpack> : <id>. You will also notice the name of the backpack changed to: <yourname>'s <backpackname>, and the lore is changed to a purple integer which represents the id, your name and the backpack type (this may look ugly but it makes the plugin way faster and less buggy).
You will also notice the item has an enchantment glow, now we did this to detect wether an item is a backpack or not, since it's a custom enchantment don't place your backpack in an anvil because that will crash your client. You are also not able to put your backpack in your backpack, to prevent backception.
The default crafting recipe:
When registering your backpack, the output will be:
And when hovering over your backpack:
(I know it looks ugly but I'm currently searching a way to hide the lore)

To do
I'm currently adding some fancy stuff like economy support, so players are able to buy backpacks and maybe language support. And who knows, maybe one day I'll add physics so players get tired when carrying around their heavy backpacks.
Hey there, I was wondering, in some of the worlds it says you are not permitted to open backpacks in this world. Is there a way to permit backpacks to be opened in all worlds? For Multiple worlds I use Multiverse. I have the world listed under multiworld support in the backpack config, but people still can't open it. Can you help me out?
Well 7/10 backpacks randomly stop being open able, there is nothing that triggers it, sometimes right after crafting sometimes after having it for some time.
@alek123222
Hmm, define weird occasions? I have no idea tho...
Now in rare occasions users can't open their backpacks any ideas why?
@levisn1
Setting the max is already possible, go take a look here: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/back-packs/pages/tutorial/ scroll down to the max section.
Can you add a limit for how many backpack a player can have? For example backpacks.max.1 backpacks.max.2 or backpacks.max.3 ecc ecc.. :)
@TehMinecraftPoke
Well the buycommand will get added in the next version but I will do an extra effort for you to get it done as soon as possible.
Is there a way to give backpacks out in kits? I'm going to be adding ranks and a certain rank is called miner, and I feel like having this backpack plugin would go well with it.
If not, is there a command to buy backpacks?
@alek123222
Try redownloading... I have no idea why this would happen.
Well I am assuming its a permission thing since op's can craft them. If it had anything to do with other plugins blocking it, ops wouldn't be able to craft it either.
@alek123222
Hmm thats weird... In a test version I added a craft listener to stop players without the right perms from crafting a backpack. But this isn't added in this version so it should work. Are you sure there isn't another plugin blocking this?
Everyone already has those permissions they all can use the backpacks when you give it to them but only ops seem to be able to craft them thus I ask again are you sure you didnt miss any permissions.
@alek123222
Thats what the permissions page is for! Players need backpacks.help and baackpacks.use to be able to use them.
Hey do players need permissions to be able to craft certain backpacks, since I can craft them but other can't and your page doesn't mention anything about that.
@Melekaiah
Hmm yes thank you, ill take a look at how they did it
@alek123222
Uhm it only supports sub ids, if that is what you mean by data :p
when making up a recipe can we use item id's with data such as 264:102 ?
theres a plugin called somethign like "makeyourownmenus"
in that plugin you are able to "hide" the lore line. apparently.. you should look into that?
@Blackhawk185
