AutoPortForward
I would like to thank the makers of Cling for their java UPNP library. AutoPortForward uses cling
Introduction: AutoPortForward automaticlly forwards the port that is specified in the server.properties. The gateway device must support UPNP.
How this plugin works: AutoPortForward discovers gateway devices (ex: routers) and attempts to forward the port specified on a one of the devices. AutoPortForward will remove the port forward on disable, and add it again on enable. This is possible by sending a UPNP TCP request to forward a port to the gateway device, if it has UPNP, it will accept this request and forward the port specified in the server.properties. It also tells you your external ip.
"But that's not possible, you NEED to port forward": As I stated above, this is very possible. See here It discovers gateway devices (routers, bridges, modems) and sends a UPNP TCP request to forward the port specified in the server.properties to the gateway device.
What versions of CraftBukkit / Bukkit are supported: AutoPortForward will work with almost if not all versions of CraftBukkit and Bukkit, as long as the onEnable and onDisable are the same.
Configuration: AutoPortForward uses the port in the server.properties (server-port) - The default is 25565.
WARNING: AutoPortForward will remove port mappings that use TCP on the port the server will be running off of, so if you have a web server running on port 80, and a minecraft server on port 80 (Which you shouldn't do) it will delete the web server port mapping and add the minecraft server.
is this 1.8? also if it is how does it work? do I just put it in my plugins folder?
Does this automatically port forward?
This plugin is very good
This plugin is very good
It should have config to auto fwd any number of ports to the server for UDP and TCP, for plugins like DYN-Map, and others that need another port fwded, and like @TobyWarren2001 said to host a pock edition server on the same server/port.
The OP says " AutoPortForward will work with almost if not all versions of CraftBukkit and Bukkit, as long as the onEnable and onDisable are the same." Does this apply to the 1.7.10 or beyond? Can anyone confirm or deny it working in current versions?
how do i port forward my server
Could you make it support UDP?
I need it to make my pocket edition server work :D
@Ltasc8
Dude use auto port forward build 1.4 it works :DD ive been using it for years
Like I see it this plugin doesn't need to be updated to a newer version. Solang bukkit keeps his onenable this thing should always work.
Update it to 1.7.2 I really need it.Thanks :) ps.UPDATE IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does this go into the plugins folder?
Does this automatically check the port to see if it's open on certain intervals, and remap it if it's no longer mapped? My router resets every day and the configuration with it, so if it does, it would help me immensely.
update to 1.7.4 plz
Please update this useful plugin to 1.6.4
it wont work
I can see that you must have a interference of school things that slow you down in the progress of fixing the plugin, but I hope you can fix it soon. :D
when I try to run my server, it says [SEVERE] could not load 'plugings\AutoPortFoward.jar' in folder 'plugins' and then a long string of errors please help because manual port fowarding is giving me lots of trouble! thanks.
How long can you predict until you fix and complete it? All of my friends seem to start to create servers for friends only. I would love to start my own anytime soon, I hope u finish it quickly.
Sadly, AutoPortFoward 2.0 does not work for me. Still sadly, I cannot make a server for my friends. I hope you have good luck to complete the plugin and post it as soon as you can. :-) -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- P.S.
On the poll to see if anyone was able to use the plugin, I accidentally voted "Yes".
