I have not tested if the bug is apparent in 2.1 but I only received reports of this bug after 2.1.5 so I am not quite sure. And thanks for your support! I will try to get an update out soon.

Good work though, love it, I just wish it was working properly, if anyone opens up their inventories and closes it they no longer have the abilities on their armor, they have to take their armor off and re-log and reequip for them to work again. It becomes a pain.

EDIT: Still interested in that no-defense aspect? I remember something about True Damage. Like, damage calculated without armor involved. If you can find out more about that by looking at the Monster Apocalypse plugin, I'm sure you could figure out how its done!
Yes that is the main idea behind it. (Putting a Gold Chestplate in one slot and say, String, in another slot would yield a "Spider Chest". Of course all of the items will be configurable but this way every ability could be made in-game. Rather than picking 5 static abilities to use.
