I say because some powers can be a bit overpowered, why don't you set commands and and cost to use the command to toggle abilities if the player is wearing the correct armor. The command could activate the armor for a set time, Right now there is a timer in my inventory menu with the ability effect, maybe have a set price per time and that timer can run out, then the player would have to pay to activate it again. IDK if you understand where I am going with this, but I think it could balance the plugin for some servers. I do love it and hope something like this can be added. If not it is still used daily and enjoyed by my players!
So you could set it so it costs say, $5 in currency to create a piece of Speed Armor in-game? I could probably do that (and make that number configurable per armor set)
Thanks, I added that, sorry for the confusion. I will definitely release an update very soon with the option to restrict abilities to certain armor types because I know many servers need that capability. This was just an initial release for those people waiting eagerly for an updated version.
EDIT : I just submitted version 3.1 which allows for restricting abilities to certain armor types. Also rewrote the config file to be much easier to read and make changes to. Read the full changelog on the 3.1 file when it is approved for more detailed information. Thanks!
Could you edit your change list (if you can) to make it clear that you need to reconfigure ArmourAbilities with the new update?
I thought it wasn't working for a while, and now I see that players can craft and use abilities that they weren't meant to be able to. I'm hoping no-one's discovered that yet.
EDIT: In addition, is there a way to limit what abilities can be applied to which armours? We had it set up so that the buffs were appropriate to the armour and didn't result in overpowered armour
Yes I believe you can set the explosion size to 0 in the config file. If you want the size to be the same but with no grief to landscape then no sorry, there is currently nothing like that. I can make an option for that in the next update.
@Tooner101
How come I'm having a hard time trying to craft the armor?? Also how do we know which armor is for miner, or assassin, or moon basically all of them??
Keep in mind abilities must be crafted on a crafting table or your survival crafting inventory box. Just combine a piece of armor with a specified item to make the ability.
To find what item is used to make an ability, type /ability info [abilityName]
Just wanted to let everyone know I am still working on version 3.0. I ran into a few roadblocks and need to change the way I was planning on creating armor.

I couldn't see an option for chain armour in the new config style, which, by the way, looks great

Cost while creating per type? Just to make some of them more expensive than others without just changing the item to make them.
@diannetea
What way would it be implemented?
I would really really love currency support.

Thanks for the update!!! Is it possible to disable grief caused while wearing the creeper suit?
WOOHOO 3.0!!!!!
@MarkiiIeJ
Sorry for the delay. I made a new video for version 3.0 that will hopefully answer any questions you may have. You can see it HERE.

Hope you guys like version 3.0!
@Apoc22932
Thank you! That means a lot. Feel free to donate ;)
@SnowGears
Great job, one of the most dedicated and communicative developers I've had the chance to download from!
I am nearly done. I will submit version 3.0 tomorrow so keep an eye out for it within the next few days!
Really looking forward to an update. This plugin is great, compact and really adds something to the server.
I'm okay with that, thanks for updating!!
