Okay cool! Im actually really excited for this next update! It will take a bit of work but I think that would really add in what the plugin needs. This would also allow users being able to "craft" any ability onto any armor type they want( with the given permission of course ). Thanks for this great idea!
You can currently do this with a pumpkin. ( set water breathing ability on the pumpkin line in config file. ) Heads from minecraft 1.4 will be included as armor types in the next update as well.
Can you explain more in depth what you mean by this? Could be a cool feature. What would be REALLY cool is when anvils come out in the "very scary update", making it so you would have to use like armor and items to make an ability.
Example: Putting a stack of 5 string and a leather hat will yield a "spider hat" and you would have to collect a full set of "spider armor" to have the spider ability. And you could give the spider armor to others as well so they could use it.
I will try my best to get one out by end of November. I know that is a long time and many of you have been waiting a long time for an update but I am in the middle of college applications, school work, and studying for the SAT so that is the best I can do. I can promise I will clean up a ton of bugs, make features more user friendly, and hopefully add in a few as well. Thanks for being patient!
I do like the different group idea, however what I'd really like to see is the ability to "enchant" a set of armor from a specific ability list (defined per armor type) by using up an item.
Haha that is how the plugin was designed on initial release up until 2.0. But people wanted more abilities added instead of the individual armor thing so I redesigned the plugin to how it is now.

you can add a multiple bonus on armor?
Thanks dude, good to know its getting updated. It's gonna be an essential plugin for an upcoming PVP world.
For anyone curious I have started to code Armor Abilities v3.0

Tooner, that's exactly what I meant, and yes using an anvil for that purpose would be pretty fantastic I think.
Can I set a ability for just one piece of armour (like hat would give the ability to breath under water)
@SnowGears
I meant your plugins version, not Minecraft versions xD
@chakyl
1.7? Why not 1.4?
@SnowGears
Actually, that seems like a good idea for 1.7 (After 1.6)

Any ETA for the next update?
@rladbsgh
Currently, there is no built in way to do this but I do like the idea. Might include in the next update. That could be cool.
Say, if I wanted Group A to have one ability on leather armor, and Group B to have another ability on leather armor, how would I do that?

What abilities does it add?
@SnowGears
It does seem to balance it out a little. You have to work hard to get your armor, and the abilities are worth the effort.
