ArenaFutbol
Futbol is a realistic soccer plugin for Bukkit using the BattleArena API. Players can left-click and "kick" an item or "ball" into a goal to score points. After a team scores a goal they will not be able to kick the ball for a configurable amount of time, or until the opposing team touches/kicks the ball. The team with the highest score at the end of the time limit wins. Rewards can be given to the winning and losing teams. Players can form teams, and even join tournaments. If the arena is in use, the players are kept in the queue and will join when one opens up. Server admin have the option of using BattleTracker to track win:loss records.

Installation
- Put BattleArena.jar into your plugins folder.
- Put ArenaFutbol.jar into your plugins folder.
Field Setup
- /futbol or /fb
- /fb create <arena name> Create arena and set team 1 spawn
- /fb alter <arena name> 2 Set team 2 spawn
- /fb alter <arena name> 3 Set center of field for ball
- Spawns can now be set by team. /fb alter <arena name> <team #> <spawn #>
- Goal Blocks changed in v0.4.1
- In the goal team one is shooting at place Stone blocks under wooden pressure plates
- In the goal team two is shooting at place Cobblestone blocks under wooden pressure plates
Commands
- /futbol or /fb
- /fb join
- /fb leave
- /fb ball Set the item you are holding as the ball.
- /fb balltimer <Seconds> Set how long a team cannot kick the ball after a goal.
- /fb pitch <int> Adjust angle of kick must be between 0 and 90 degrees. example: /fb pitch 15
- /fb maxpitch <int> Set max angle of kick must be between 0 and 90 degrees. example: /fb maxpitch 90
- /fb power <double> Set power of kick must be 2.0 or less. 1.0 = 100% example: /fb power 1.4

Since i've updated the server simply lags a lot. Yes, it's because there's not enough RAM, but my point is that the plugin uses up more RAM. Playing on the Europia version seems to be working fine.

particles are there to solve this issue. they should be visible from 128 blocks away.

i only tested a little bit... but it seemed like to me, it was hard to see the ball at long distances until you got closer. In other words, the disappearing was only temporary until I got closer to the ball. Which would just be a client limitation.
I'm trying to think of some mechanisms that would compensate for this... Maybe holograms ? Maybe a compass pointing to the direction of the ball ? Maybe a glowstone identifier under the ball location ? Or maybe we could make the ball a slime that you kick around ? The large ones are visible from over 76 blocks away... I forgot the visibility of the small ones... but they're visible from a further distance than items. Any other ideas ?

im sory, everything works. the problem was in Battle Arena.

v0.5.4.1 disables particles by default which should allow backwards compatability.

This seems to be an issue within BattleArena. As a temporary solution you could use permissions and not allow players to use /leave.
im sory, v.0.5.4.1 doesn't work at 1.8 doesn't want to create the arena
Using ArenaFutBol V0.5.4.1 working fine but unable to score doe ball in scoring direction help?
found bug: After player leave match,others still playing and if they make a goal,one who leaved match is teleported back there but he is not in match,and he can take the ball?
fix fast please,or is it possible to disable? how?

The latest version 0.5.4 uses particles from the bukkit api which was added in 1.8.

Will it work on 1.7.9-1.7.10? BattleArena for 1.8 works on 1.7.10 (as far as i tested)
v0.5.4 for v1.8 has been uploaded and awaiting approval.
I will upload an updated version for 1.8 tomorrow morning. I'm testing for bugs. I will add ball physics to the 1.6.4 version for all the ppl using cracked clients. 1.6.4 will not have particles.
Okay guys, I have a new version of ArenaFutbol ready. The good news is that this version should work on ANY version of Minecraft. The bad news is that in order to achieve this, I had to temporarily remove particle effects. Also, some scoreboard interfaces were temporarily removed. Hopefully, I can get this fixed in the next version. Also, Adambor has a fix for the ball not spawning at the start of the match. His fix will be in the next version. He has fixed something else too, but I forgot what it was.
