Description:
This plugin adds different ailments and diseases to Minecraft to make it a bit more challenging.
The ailments:
Salmonella - Eating raw food has a 10% chance of giving you salmonella! This slows you down and drops your hunger bar down by 4 units.
- Influenza (Not implemented yet) - A nasty disease spread by the bite of a silverfish! It poisons, weakens, and slows you.
- Heat stroke - Standing out in the hot desert without any shade or water can really get to you! This makes you severely need food and weakens you.
- Starvation - No longer will you get away without eating! When you starve, you become slow, confused, and break blocks slower.
- Black lung - Mining all that coal can really get to your lungs. This causes you to grow weak and develop miner's fatigue.
- Broken arms - Punching trees all day doesn't always work out well. The pain of a broken arm can slow you down. And don't you even think about trying to punch more blocks until your arm heals.
- Broken legs - Falling from high up can snap your legs, so be careful! Broken legs slow you considerably, and make it impossible to sprint.

Before I get to that, I will add options to turn each ailment off.
also do you think that you can make it where broken arms no block break can be turned off and just make it a configureable X times longer to break blocks as in in the .yml . . .

think you could add a perm node that bypasses the effects and also add a gamemode check so if player is in creative broken legs and arms do not effect
Sorry if this is nagging, but I'd love to see this updated. Great variety of ailments for RPG servers and immersive without taking the fun away from Minecraft. Great job!

Interesting :D, yea no worry's things get done when then they get done, but if you plan to push an update could you include custom ID's in the config this time around so that we can set up any extra stuff for servers that run mods.
Good plugin overall apart from that and maybe a configurable chance as well for each illness because right now myself and the majority of our server agree that coal miner illness procs way too much If I had to guess the random chance would be around 45%. When ideally it should be more around 15%, as it is right now we seem to get sick from mining any random chance on hit past about the 8th block which is like I said a little sensitive.
If it was the same chance as breaking an arm that would be alright chance if you don't feel like making it customizable.//
Suggestion List - Off the top of my head ideas in no particular order!

Actually, it already does use this information for heatstroke. I do plan on furthering it quite a bit, but I'm a slight bit busy right now.

I can I just add to this idea if that is ok, The concept it a good one but I'm not sure if your aware or not but with 1.2.5 versions of CB you can actually pull the biome data from the Anvil world chunks and with this you could for instance make it so you only get hypothermia if your in the taiga or taiga hills,FrozenRiver,Iceplains,Frozenocean biome's.
Moving the code of the plugin to biome based would also have further features that could come into play such as wearing things like iron armor or armor at all in the desert would greater your chance of getting heatstroke.

Not a bad idea. I didn't think of this. I will definitely make note of this.
Really good plugin this will be fit for servers focus on rp and hardcore survival I would like to suggest something. hypothermia - need to wear leather set to avoid getting one - effects would be the same as heatstroke

I never considered Tekkit being used with this plugin, but I will definitely consider adding a list of items that are considered tools to the config.

I think I know why its happening, like why people are saying that some of these never end.
I noticed it myself when playing on my regular minecraft account the one where I don't have admin/OP powers, It appears to be ignoring tools I was using a wooden axe and an iron axe and I still got a broken arm.
Aside from this I was wondering if you could implement a block list with metadata to customize what items class as a tool because I run a tekkit server it has mods that give 3 new kinds of each tool and I would like to add them to the list of tools for this.
I was also thinking that it could be fun implement stamina drain when swimming.

I'll take a look at that. I did hear about an error like this (though not sure if it was the same) on a server that I play on. I gave them a dev build to work with and it doesn't seem to have thrown this yet, so I'll probably upload that soon.
Edit: It should be uploaded now. It may take a while to get approved for download, though.
Hey, Firstly this is amazing.
Though some people on my server are saying that Black-Lung is not expiring when the timer runs out properly.
Not sure about others but that is just what I have heard so far after running it for a couple days.
I'm using Craftbukkit 1.2.5.R1.3 though since I am hosting a Tekkit 3 server.
Edit: This an error we keep getting on our server.

This is actually in the to-do list. Right now I'm addressing some bugs that have been reported to me, but this should be in a future version.
