Description:
This plugin adds different ailments and diseases to Minecraft to make it a bit more challenging.
The ailments:
Salmonella - Eating raw food has a 10% chance of giving you salmonella! This slows you down and drops your hunger bar down by 4 units.
- Influenza (Not implemented yet) - A nasty disease spread by the bite of a silverfish! It poisons, weakens, and slows you.
- Heat stroke - Standing out in the hot desert without any shade or water can really get to you! This makes you severely need food and weakens you.
- Starvation - No longer will you get away without eating! When you starve, you become slow, confused, and break blocks slower.
- Black lung - Mining all that coal can really get to your lungs. This causes you to grow weak and develop miner's fatigue.
- Broken arms - Punching trees all day doesn't always work out well. The pain of a broken arm can slow you down. And don't you even think about trying to punch more blocks until your arm heals.
- Broken legs - Falling from high up can snap your legs, so be careful! Broken legs slow you considerably, and make it impossible to sprint.
:D is there anyway to make it so if your in the rain to long or something you could get sick >_> and maybe even pass it on to other people

Are you arms supposted to break when you break wood with an axe? Its happened to me a few times.

Will be fixed in the next release.
also, when I die from falling too high my legs are still broken at respawn. Same if I die with broken legs
In the next version nausea should be removed when you eat food, if that's possible.

Make sure you're running the latest version of craftbukkit. I noticed that some of the earlier 1.2 builds had issues with removing effects.
Hmm.. it seems I can't remove the ailments. Stuck with Weakness, mining and Nausea (showing -14:0-4) now.
Not sure how to remove them without dying
Great. Keep up the good work. A bug I think. I starved which gave me weakness, mining fatigue and nausea. I ate something and when the counters reduced to 0, they don't actually disappear. They stay on 0 and after relogging in, all 3 show as "-2:0-5" for some reason.

Yes, I do plan on adding a very detailed config soon. It'll probably be a few days before a config is released because there are a few more features I'd like to add and I'm busy for the next 3 days.
Any chance you will do a config for this. I'd like to raise the chance of salmonella to a higher number for my server. Have you added more effects for zombie flesh and spider eyes too? they should do some nastier things to you too.
I've already got a plugin for rain, snow and deserts (when not wearing cloths).
There is also a zombie infected mod, but it you still suffer effects from ranged attacked which is strange. If you add this, and able to, make sure the zombie hits while close to you.

It does send messages that give hints as to what they just got. I plan on making a command to list exactly what they have.

I actually have many more ideas (most contributed by others) to work on right now. I just wanted to get a stable release out to see how this went over.
What the previous person said, and maybe some more additions? Cold: Standing in the rain for too long. Infection: A random limb is disabled (leg or arm) which decreases it's efficiency (leg would make you slower, arm decreases mining speed, damage you deal (if possible)). Would be contracted from zombies. Love the idea of this! It goes online soon! :D
