I am in the process of updating much of the documentation for this plugin at the moment, as the recent 3.0 update changed most of how Drug Dealer works. Be aware that some of the information on this page may still be outdated, and not relevant to the recent changes that Drug Dealer has undergone.
Amaze your friends and scare your brain with all the drugs you could ever need! Completely customizable, user-created drugs using Drug Dealer's unique custom-drug mechanic creates a customized experience for every server, and indeed, every player.
You can implement Drug Dealer into real, survival-style Minecraft gameplay! Any item you want can be made to give absolutely any number of any potion effects upon consumption, even a block! You can literally create any kind of drug you want --
there's absolutely nothing stopping you from creating a two-week long, high-inducing, FoV-warping super-narcotic called Pony that's fueled by diamonds. The only limit is your imagination, and even that won't be enough after even 10 minutes with Drug Dealer.

Currently without a video of Drug Dealer after the recent update. I'd gladly place any videos made about the plugin here on the main page should any be made.
Note:
Drug Dealer uses the metrics data tracker, which submits lightweight, anonymous data to the metrics website, like how many times my plugin has been started and how many people are using it. If you want to disable this harmless feature, you may set "opt-out" to "true" in the "PluginMetrics" folder of your plugin directory.

I spend literally 90% of the time I develop plugins just bug fixing and adding failsafes to every scenario I can think of. I try as hard as I can to make sure my plugins never have any bugs, and they go through rigorous testing before every release. That being said, if there's anything I missed, please let me know.
I'm also completely open to suggestions and ideas on what I can improve on and what just plain sucks, so please don't hesitate to speak your mind.
Great Plugin!! This plugin isn't getting as much attention as it deserves though. Heres a suggestion:
How about making it so u can make people see particles like music notes for example when they use a drug.
you can do a custom item for each? you know like in other plugins, then you put a command to get that item like /dd get <drugname> then you get the item created in the "config.yml" file with the specifications. then the users can sell it and buy it from signshop or any other shop plugin, cause that way is working the plugin i think is so impractical.
What about adding custom particles configuration? like if i take drug "weed" the smoke will come out like i smoked weed.. that would be great! (sorry for my bad english)
Yeah, when I rename the drug item, It can't be used anymore. You should put out an update so this becomes possible.
When i rename the Items, i cant use them...

Currently, you can only assign an item to a corresponding drug. However, I like your idea a lot, and it sounds like something that would be good to include in the next update. Thanks for posting.

It shouldn't need an update, as Bukkit was designed to allow plugins to need updating as little as possible, and works fine on 1.6 for me. But I'll add some new features soon, yes.

Thanks for the idea, but I don't entirely think that's necessary. Both of those things can be easily done by dozens, if not hundreds of other plugins, as they're both basically just item buying and selling systems.
I'll keep it in mind for the next update though, thanks again for the idea.
The 2.0.1 version is better.
And some requests if you need any: Make a command called /dd buy/sell (DRUGNAME) (PRICE$) ? Make a sign that you can buy/sell drugs like: [Drug] Buy/Sell (DRUGNAME) (PRICE$) ?

I may consider it in a future update, it mostly depends on when that update will come. I'd prefer to have one large update that adds a bunch of new features instead of a bunch of smaller updates that only add one or two things at a time. I'll keep your request in mind though, and I'll see about making that happen the next time I update this plugin.

Can you make a drug so you need two items? Like im making the drug marijuana then it would be awesome if you you needed flint n steel and Cactus green? like this: Weed: ID: ' 351:2 259' Message: '&aYou just smoked some "Marijuana".' Require-Sneak: true Play-Sound: true Effects:

Ah, I see the problem. The "Health Boost" and "Absorption" effects may be present in the game itself, but they are not yet recognized by Bukkit. If you look here, where Bukkit handles potion effects, you'll see that only the first 20 effects have been implemented so far. Unfortunately, since Bukkit doesn't support the two other effects yet, I can't either, so I apologize. We'll just have to wait for a recommended 1.5 build, which will most likely support the two missing effects.

Adding - '21:1:400' produces the error and removing it fixes the error.

Can you show me your config file? Every effect listed on the Wiki, unless otherwise noted, should work perfectly fine as far as I know.
Does this plugin support status effects 21 & 22? I seem to get an error when trying to implement them.

If you'll take a quick look at the permissions page, you'll notice that players must have a drug's permission node in order for them to be able to use that drug. I'm certain that only OPs can use your drugs because you haven't given anyone else the correct permissions.
