I am in the process of updating much of the documentation for this plugin at the moment, as the recent 3.0 update changed most of how Drug Dealer works. Be aware that some of the information on this page may still be outdated, and not relevant to the recent changes that Drug Dealer has undergone.
Amaze your friends and scare your brain with all the drugs you could ever need! Completely customizable, user-created drugs using Drug Dealer's unique custom-drug mechanic creates a customized experience for every server, and indeed, every player.
You can implement Drug Dealer into real, survival-style Minecraft gameplay! Any item you want can be made to give absolutely any number of any potion effects upon consumption, even a block! You can literally create any kind of drug you want -- there's absolutely nothing stopping you from creating a two-week long, high-inducing, FoV-warping super-narcotic called Pony that's fueled by diamonds. The only limit is your imagination, and even that won't be enough after even 10 minutes with Drug Dealer.

Commands:

User Videos:
Currently without a video of Drug Dealer after the recent update. I'd gladly place any videos made about the plugin here on the main page should any be made.
Note:
Drug Dealer uses the metrics data tracker, which submits lightweight, anonymous data to the metrics website, like how many times my plugin has been started and how many people are using it. If you want to disable this harmless feature, you may set "opt-out" to "true" in the "PluginMetrics" folder of your plugin directory.

I spend literally 90% of the time I develop plugins just bug fixing and adding failsafes to every scenario I can think of. I try as hard as I can to make sure my plugins never have any bugs, and they go through rigorous testing before every release. That being said, if there's anything I missed, please let me know.
I'm also completely open to suggestions and ideas on what I can improve on and what just plain sucks, so please don't hesitate to speak your mind.

If you are giving me a list of things you'd like to see added to Drug Dealer, over half of those things you requested can be made by anyone already with the custom drug feature. You'll have to explain the rest to me much more clearly, however, I can't understand what most of them are.

The configuration page is there just for that very reason. It should tell you everything you need to be able to create custom drugs, but in case it's not clear enough, I'm going to keep updating it, as well as the rest of the documentation, much more over the next few days when I have more time.

Yes, the configuration page is up, but the rest haven't been fully updated yet. I've had a very busy past few days, so please forgive me, but the configuration page should be able to tell you how to make your own drugs.
Edit: Every page is now up, and everything should be good and updated.

Actually, I was thinking of doing something like that for the last release, but I never got around to it. I would essentially re-write the whole plugin once more, and just have the whole thing be a "custom drug"-type dealio, where you can just create your own drugs from the config, with configurable effects, items, durations, ect.
If that's something that you would find interesting, I'd be happy do that.

Thank you so much for your interest in Drug Dealer, I'm glad you like it so far. Unfortunately, I don't have the time right now to add a component as big and complicated as an addiction feature would be.
If you have a few simpler ideas, I could possibly work some of those into the plugin, but something like an addiction feature would be quite complex and there'd be no guarantee that the final product I'd create would be even fun to use.

I was able to make Cocoa Beans a drug, so you should be able to make Cactus Green a drug, I will paste the id and everything down here. You sure you are using commas between each drug?

Posted May 12, 2013If you could, please add an addiciton component. So if the player uses the drugs, he/she will eventually get addicted and have to use the drug commonly. Very good plugin.

Non-OPs cannot do anything without permissions being set up. The only way to selectively allow people to do stuff is through permissions, which is why Drug Dealer is intended to be used alongside a permissions plugin. I apologize if this isn't very helpful, but it is what it is.
Because what you're asking for is exactly why permissions were created, the only thing I can suggest is for you to fix your permissions setup. If you need help configuring your permissions, try asking on your permissions plugin's page/forums, or on the Bukkit help forums of the Bukkit site. It's very easy to get permissions working, and shouldn't be too hard. If you get really desperate, I can give you a hand.

Posted Jan 24, 2013Alright, I just sent in version 2.0.1. I left out the stat tracking feature by accident, which I really like to have on hand to see how many people use my plugin. I'd really appreciate if everyone updates to 2.0.1 if they've already got 2.0.

Edit: Whoops! Silly me, looks like I forgot to include the plugin metrics into 2.0. Recodes'll do that to you. I'm updating it now, I'd appreciate it if people would update their versions as well so that I can get an accurate reading of how popular Drug Dealer is.

I'll release the version I'm on now in a few hours. It adds a new drug, but I haven't implemented commands for the new drug yet. If people want me to, I can add them later.
