With Dev Builds there can be serveral changes. If using a dev build and to ensure the plugin doesn't break, re-generate your config file. Report all bugs HERE.
Huge thanks to iamdansker and Thafirst from http://jeppes.info/ for all of their great tips, advice, and help! Go check their website out and join their server, tell them Kenny sent you :)
@Chopperrino
There already is.. You probably just missed it. http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/vertex/pages/commands-and-permissions/
Can you please add a list for all the permissions? I want my Moderators to have the command /c.
@ProfX66
Ohhh right.. I knew there was one more thing I was forgetting to change with the config update. Version 0.5.4 will fix this issue.
So far I love the changes, its working great.
There is one bug I found though. When doing /vx help the owners and promotion commands read as /null. But the commands work, even changing the command works but still shows as null on the help menu.
@Mrcomputeranswers
Awesome! Glad I could help. I'll let you know if I encounter anything, or have an idea for you.
@ProfX66
Version 0.5.3 has been uploaded. Config changes have been added. You MUST re-generate the config file! Thanks for your input! :)
@Mrcomputeranswers
That works great!
I do have a nice to have request, give the ability to customize the colors of the list. So like the hidden prefix color could be configured by the config.yml. That's not a necessity but it would be nice in terms of customization.
@ProfX66
Try this one https://github.com/downloads/mrcomputeranswers/Vertex/Vertex-0.5.3B01.jar Sorry, but at this time of night I have no one to join my test server.
@Mrcomputeranswers
Awesome, that fixed most of them. The only thing i see now is on a player who doesn't have vanish perms it shows "Connected players: , Player2," with two users one, a regular and a mod. When the mod un-vanishes it looks like this "Connected players: , Player2, Player1". Looks like there's more commas then needed.
@ProfX66
No need to hook into PEX that's what vault is for silly ;) I will be updating the plugin soon so only vault and essentials are "required". I could just check for a permission node (which does not require hooking into pex) but I have a better method. Can you try out https://github.com/downloads/mrcomputeranswers/Vertex/Vertex-0.5.3B.jar and tell me if this resolves those issues.
So after testing it I have found a couple things that are more of a nice to have.
When there is a hidden player it still shows the comma between them and the other players, so it looks like this "Connected players: Player1, , Player3"
Is it possible to hook into PEX and have it detect if a user has the vanish permissions? With essentials, if a player has access to vanish then they are able to see the hidden players. It also puts [HIDDEN] in front of their name and in the online user count it adds a count of vanished players in the same color (grey in this case) as the hidden prefix. It would just be a lot easier for mods/admins to have one command to see hidden and none hidden users versus two.
@Mrcomputeranswers
I know that essentials hooks into vanish to detect hidden players, I just don't want my regular users to see hidden admins and mods (mainly for griefer policing). I'll test your new version and let you know if I find any other issues. Thanks for the quick reply!
@ProfX66
EDIT: Plugin has been updated to 0.5.2 This version fixes both issues you reported.
I would love to use this plugin but there are some issues that we ran into.
First /v conflicts with VanishNoPacket, could you rename your command to /vert or something?
Also could you add the ability to disable a command and let essentials take over for that one command? The main reason is because your /list(who) doesn't work with Vanish, and essentials /list(who) does (i.e. It will not show hidden users to everyone). I tried doing an essentials override, but that did not work.
So far your plugin is great, minus the above. I really like the ability to rename the commands for promotions/owners. If you are able to add/change the functionality above then i can use this.
@blazes31
Essentials does have a colored playerlist, but if you use a different chat manager and permissions manager than the one that comes with the essentials download then the whole playerlist will be in white. Vertex takes colors set in PermissionsEx and adds it before the users display name.
Essentials already has a coloured player list you just have to enable it.
