More Experience Drops Plugin

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Overview

MoreExp is a plugin which enables full xp drop control. On first launch, the file MoreExp/config.xml is created, and this file contains experience drop for each monster (including 1.2 version and giant [tested, exp drops]).

Installation

Just download the plugin and put it into your plugin folder. Configuration file will be created on first run.

Commands

/moreexp info : display experience drop for each mob.
/moreexp info [mob] : display experience drop for specific mob, including variable experience
/moreexp info [option] : display value of specific option
/moreexp reload : reloads configuration file, and reverts any change put by /moreexp set
/moreexp reset : resets experience of a player (both levels and experience bar)
/moreexp save : save current experience drops to configuration file. Note: this command is automatically called by the server when the plugin becomes disabled (e.g. when you stop the server). If you plan to modify the configuration file using an external tool, keep in mind that you'll have to reload the configuration file before stopping the server.
/moreexp set : allow to change experience drop for a given mob on the fly. This value will be saved on configuration file on exit. You can also use this command to change value of an option.
/moreexp give : give some experience levels to a player
/moreexp xpgain : set global experience multiplier

All these commands have the corresponding alias /mex [options...] (since version 2.1).

moreexp.adm.reload : set permissions of command /moreexp reload
moreexp.adm.reset : set permissions of command /moreexp reset
moreexp.adm.save : set permissions of command /moreexp save
moreexp.adm.set : set permissions of command /moreexp set
moreexp.adm.give : set permissions of command /moreexp give
moreexp.adm.xpgain : set permissions of command /moreexp xpgain

Good day,

Still using this plugin at 1.6.4. Mostly working, but I do receive these errors when a player kills a Mo' Creatures animal. Please let me know if this can be remedied. Thanks for the plugin!

Gixbit does your version work with Nether Quartz? As with this plugin enabled no XP is received when mining Nether Quartz.

in the config after every mob its has that same mob but with rand on the end do i have to set this number to the same as the original mob ??/ Please Help???/

Delete your config.XML file, that may fix it. Keep a copy if you have to readjust the settings.

This looks like the plugin that I need. Is there any way in the config file to get catching RawFish = 0?
I'm puzzled on how to get tht to work.

Looks like this plugin is kinda dying out but, I did recompile it with a fix for silktouching diamonds giving experience. I added a private boolean method for that. If anyone wants my working version of this plugin you can message me on bukkit. I'm around.

I'm trying to set it so that only players drop experience when killed, but not any other mob. I set all of the other mobs to "0" in the config, but it's not doing anything. I can kill a cow and i still get exp. I'm sure I'm making some dumb mistake but I can't find it.

I have updated this plugin to work with 1.4.6/.7

Note: i had to use the source code from 2.4 because that is the latest code available on github. so i had to re-add wither and witch. no updates from 2.5 and onward are included.

i have tried this build on my own server and it works flawlessly. if you notice anything missing, please message me.

Note: i am a novice in coding.
