ElectricFence
Electric Fence
Originally written by darksoft, this is a plugin to mimic Electric Fences. When a fence is powered by redstone, it shocks players when they get near or when they touch it. That's it. If you do not want to be shocked, op yourself or give yourself the 'ElectricFence.bypass' Permission node.

Throws errors in the console but it still works in 1.11.2 :-)
Amazingly this still works in MC 1.8.7
whenever I change the damage, the entire mod breaks down! what the heck!
ElectricFence 2.1 is working great on CraftBukkit 1.5.2-R0.1 with Java 1.7.0_15 x64 (on Windows 7 x64) and Java 1.7.0_21 x64 (on Ubuntu Server 12.04.2 LTS)
Thanks, LHammonds
Is this still usable in 1.4.7 and 1.5.1? We use a lot of electric fence for basic control.
@LiveOnGaming
ElectricFence.bypass is the node
@Jokaru
try doing the node in all lowercase letters, that works with my pex version for most plugins where this problem occurs
Found some bugs:
- There's a strange slow reaction. (It takes a while to shock) - If players are in a vehicle, it doesn't effect them.
Wanted features: a permission to stop players from being shocked.
@PatrickFreed PEX work fine with my other 82 plugins )
@Jokaru
May be a problem with PEX, I've heard it is pretty broken.
@LHammonds
Sure thing, I'm pretty bad at organization if you hadn't noticed. ;p
@PatrickFreed, in your next update, would you mind including the description, website and dev-url lines in plugin.yml? It helps utilities like PluginManager keep track of what versions are installed and what is available on the dev.bukkit page. Also, the version is noted as 1.9 inside the 2.1 archive.
Example of change to plugin.yml:
bypass does not work.
craftbukkit-1.3.2-R1.0 Electric Fence 2.1 Java 7 x64 permission plugin - PEX
Thanks for creating and sharing this plugin.
I have verified that Electric Fence 2.1 works without problem on CraftBukkit 1.3.2-R0.1 with Windows 7 64-bit and Ubuntu Server 12.04 64-bit on Java 1.7u7 64-bit. Was also using bPermissions 2.9.23
EDIT: Works on CB 1.3.2-R1.0 too!

@elias1979
Alright, I'll look into this.
When using iron bars there is a blind spot in the center of the fence and if you walk on top you are not electrified .
Thanks for updating :D Now my players will finally be able to execute eachother in a proper way :)
@EasyBoarder
It meant you could only make fences on top of that block
@ PatrickFreed
It worked once I've disabled earthblock! (I still use version 2.0). What does that setting mean anyway?
Thnx for your feedback so far :)
@EasyBoarder
@zakoschris
Are you guys using version 2.0? I'll do some testing today to fix it if that's the case.
Edit: The problem was the EarthBlock setting. I disabled it in the newest version (2.1)
@EasyBoarder
Im Having The Same Problem
Dear author,
I run a 1.3.1 server and have installed this plugin. It loads like normal, no problems. But when I try to power a fence (I tried a lot of different ways) it does NO damage and displays NO effects whatsoever..
I configured it properly, it is nog the first plugin I configure. Not that hard.
Please help :O !
