This is great to hear, Im just starting to get back into MC after a 2 or 3 year break now that I can play in VR and this is a must have.
im currently updating my development environment and will bring out a compatible version.

Is this plugin still being supported? I'm running the latest build of Spigot and I am getting the following error whenever I activate a stargate: http://hastebin.com/emopodixub.avrasm

You're right! I haven't run a craftbukkit build in a loooooong time. I switched from Spigot to Craftbukkit and sure enough Wormhole Extreme gates are working. I can even create new gates.

I have the Same error on spigot. It seems to work on craftbukit 1.8.7, but not on Spigot 1.8.7, and I need spigot because I use Bungee.

Sorry for my late anwser, but i had a lot a things to do the last days.
I use /wxlist and Wormhole x-treme tell me: Avaible gates ManiacMansion, Caesium-137 (I have only two Gates at the moment)
I use /wxbuild and Wormhole x-treme tell me: /wxbuild <GateShape> <GateShape> The GateShape to build. After placing a DHD with a buttom (and sign if wanted) runnung this command then pressing the button will cause the specified <GateShape> to be built.
I activated a gate use /dial Caesium-137 and Wormhole x-treme tell me: error Invalid gate target
Both are sign-gates with a lever.
And now, there is water on the top of the ring, but its not going away anymore.

If the event horizon is not formed but chevrons will get a lock then your gate is at least still in the database and recognized by the system. I had this effect once before i compiled the plugin again 1.7.9-R0.2 but this was resolved after doing so.
It could be that the gate was not in the database and you accidently created it in this case it would be a dial gate which do wait for a command like /dial Target.
Can you please check with wxlist and wxbuild if gates are shown and build shapes are listed?
I would also like to hear what happens if you use /dial something when the gate is activated. If it is like i think it is then it should give you an error message when using an incorrect target.
Is the gate a sign or dial gate?

Have you installed the latest update about it? Or you have deleted everything and reinstalled?
Did you have to make all gates new? Or worked the old ones?
I have installed the latest version.
I can also activate the gates and the lights come on and the message appears that the gate was open, but the water does not appear.
Just wanted to say thanks for this.
Been using WXT since the Lologarithm & alron days so really happy to see updates for it.
I'm using it with 1.8.1 and as long as I set it all up and don't let players make gates (which i prefer!) it all works ok for me - didn't realise others where having issues with it!
Uploaded v1.1 that is compatible with 1.7.9-R0.2.
This version is a compatible fix build. I was not able to implement a rename command for networks without having to rewrite big portions of the plugin.
If there are no bugs found - if you found any please report them on my jira - there will be release that is based on this codebase.
I will start work on v2.0 now. If there is anything to fix i will of course still fix them when you report them on my jira. Have fun with Wormhole X-Treme 1.1
Oh and Wormhole X-Treme Worlds also got updated to v0.6 and now works again with 1.7.9-R0.2
Okay after investigating the current version of WormholeXTreme i have decided to throw in 1.3 that should work with 1.7.9-R0.2.
To get your gates work then you may need to go to the gate and re-create them with
I will also add some new commands that let you change the gate network and the gates name without having to destroy the block behind the sign.
Im undecided yet if i should add wxbuildstart and wxbuildend command that would disable or enable automatic stargate creation when a valid shape is found. I will check this and if its doable then its in 1.3
After that i will start 2.0
Due to the complexity of the plugin i will probably release a SNAPSHOT version that enables wormholes again.
There will be no commands included in this version but at least you can use your Stargates again.
Implementing commands and build logic will probably take longer than i currently expect.
