Health Changes

Health no longer regenerates from having an almost full hunger bar, health can only be regained with golden apples and health potions.
Does not use the gamerule for stopping regeneration to allow for permission based regeneration
Playerlist shows players health level using scoreboards, player health also shown under their name ingame.
Vanilla 0 health bug fixed
Red name for low health
Yellow name for middle health
Green name for high health
Blue name for players with non player list health permissions

Golden apple recipe is now the default recipe in Minecraft!
Notch apple recipe disabled by default and ghast tears do not drop (stops regeneration potions)
Harder recipe for glistering melon and golden carrot
Brewing of splash potions and tier 2 potions disabled by default
Can craft a golden head that heals for 4 hearts instead of the usual 2 hearts for a golden apple, amount regen configurable

Ghasts drop golden ingots in replacement of ghast tears, makes regen potions uncraftable
Players drop their head on death, PvP only flag available. Tries to place the head in the world on a fence but will drop as an item if it can't

Enderpearls cause no damage on teleport (can still take fall damage from bad throws)
Starting a message with 'P ' will make your chat anonymous to everyone on the server that doesn't have permission to see names (default op)
e.g. Saying 'P This message is anonymous!' will show up like this:

Allows the world to generate with a bedrock wall to contain players within a certain distance
(Use of WorldBorder still recommended in conjunction with the borders if necessary), different shapes available

To opt out of metrics you can edit the config.yml file in the PluginMetrics folder inside your plugins folder

Update v0.3.4 out fixes:
Added missing config.yml option for disabling chat messages about damage taken
Would be nice if you could disable the damage-taken-in-chat option. Just suggestin'. :-)
0.3.3 now up new features:
Added first time spawn randomness, configurable in config.yml. If using circular spawning the player will be spawned within the set radius in config.yml of the world spawn. Due to how polar coordinates work it makes it more likely that players will be spawning nearer the center of the circle but will still have spawns right up to the max radius. If it is set to false the player will spawn in a radius x 2 sized square centered on the world spawn point spread uniformly across the area
Version 0.3.2 for dev version 1.2.4 is now available at this link, please make me aware of any more bugs you find whilst using this

You could write in a command similar to the playerlist command.
/uhclist
returns the list of players currently in the server, and how many hearts they have left.
Yours is the closest to the mindcrack vanilla mod, and I LOVE YOU FOR IT. Let me know if a little bit of paypal would speed up development.
Personally I hate chat spam too, (saw a comment below) so at least an option to turn off chat messages I think would be useful.
A lot of people want editable reciped for glistering melons and golden apples, but I like what you currently have going.

SBK's mod requires a clientside mod to display the hearts, there's no way to do it from the serverside, hence why I use the numbers and colours. As for the chat damages it looks like I'll have to go that way anyway due to how bukkit handles damage, still working on all the bugs there so I may remove it altogether until it works right. Kick/Ban is on the list but it's not a priority right now

Also I dont think you should make it spam messages every time someone gets hurt, why not make it so that the damage is recorded and when the player stops getting hurt, it broadcasts that.
Also, how long until the kick/ban on death is brought in?
apart from the whole server thing and not just the maps i set I don't particularity want the chat spam with more than 30 people them chatting keeps the chat box flowing with out plugins putting even more info in that will just get lost any way.
as for the bugs with crafting i see that as a small visual thing and not a big deal :D
this mod has a good idea behind it and im sure it would be a ton of fun in a balanced environment.

Started work on the player permissions already, next version has lots of changes so might be a while depends on the final complexity
(next version will depend on 1.2.3 though so that may be a while too)
Because i run a large server i would like to be able to set what maps this is active on this could be done via permissions or a config.
permission could be some thing like.
UH.activate
any person with the above permission would be put into hardcore mode... plugin would need to check for the node on map change.

Havn't looked at anything yml related yet, I'm looking to get this stable (minus the bukkit bugs ofc) first before looking at configurations. Shouldn't be too long though
