PlayerParticles
PlayerParticles has moved to Spigot. Please download the plugin from https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/playerparticles.40261/ for now on. Newer versions will no longer be uploaded here.
PlayerParticles is great to use as a VIP perk and is EULA friendly! Your players will love the amount of customization that is available for them!
The plugin wiki can be found here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki
Permission details can be found in the wiki here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki/Permissions
The GUI provides ease-of-access for your users. Simply typing /pp will open the GUI and bring them to a menu where they can edit their particles. If you are using the plugin for a server lobby, you can bind the /pp gui command to an item using a different plugin.
The section below contains a GIF of all styles currently available in the plugin. Please note that all styles are compatible with all particle effects, meaning there are thousands of combinations. I only show one effect per style in the GIFs below. While most of the GIFs only show the particles around a player, the majority of them can also be placed around blocks.

PlayerParticles will check for an update each time your server starts. The plugin .jar will never be downloaded, OPs will get a notification in chat when they log in if an update is available. PlayerParticles will also send metrics about your server anonymously through bStats.
Update checking can be turned off by setting check-updates to false in the config.yml. Metrics can be turned off by setting send-metrics to false in the config.yml.
If a player has their particle settings (In Options > Video Settings) set to minimal they will be unable to see most particles displayed. I am unable to fix this since it is purely client side.
I will only help you with errors you are having if you are running the latest version of the plugin and are running a supported version of Minecraft!

You have been postponing this update for months now lol
@Esophose
Thanks :)
@mtdutch
Yet another great suggestion. Coming in the next update. (I keep postponing this, should really work on it soon)
@Seanliam2000
Glad you found a way to make a GUI for your players, I still don't want to add it to the main plugin though :3
You're right about the permission screw up. That'll be fixed soon!
Hi!
Thanks a lot for this plugin, please keep up the great work ^.~
is there a way to distable commands in a world?
I can do that with per-world permissions, but doing it via this plugin would also be nice.
@Esophose
I made a gui for your plugin on my server lol. The players liked the plugin so much I made a gui xD Also I noticed playerparticles.rainbow doesnt actually add the rainbow when i try to use the command it says i dont have permission to use reddust particle then i add the reddust particle and the player can use rainbow AND reddust
@TrewCraft360
Hey look, you found a bug. The color issue will be fixed in the next release. I'll get working on it soon.
So I would also love to kinda edit the messages sorry Im not sure I explained what I wanted below. So when I put the particle on it says my custom message for example &9Particle - &activated {PARTICLE} the particle is blue anyways without a color I tried add like &a{PARTICLE} but it did not work. Also add sounds when you click the partciels that be really cool. And also make it so we can make the particle swirl around he head ore around the body or in a certain shape. Maybe try to work on that but hey, great plugin.
Thanks, TrewCraft360
@Huffmanbran
Sure thing. Coming in the next version!
@TrewCraft360
Colors in the messages are already supported just like how you posted. It isn't possible to make the particles smaller since they are built into the game. I can't add more since they are built into the game. If you want to, you can make less particles appear by changing the ticks per particle option in the config.
Also make sure we can edit the message 100% like &9Particle -&tactivated &a{PARTICLE}&7 particle. add in colors to
Could you make the particles NOT SO BIG A BIT SMALLER PLEASE. AND ADD MORE LOVEE THE PLUGIN!
Fun plugin to have. Good job!
I know this sounds a bit much, but could you add an option to make the particles mandatory around the player? And maybe you could add it to a permissions setting? Thanks, great work on this plugin! :D
@nj2miami
It still sounds like a highly chaotic effect to add :P
I suppose I can create a GUI. Thanks for the tips on that. For your help I updated the GitHub repository to the latest version, it includes language support now.
Also, if you ever want to help out on the plugin you can create a pull request on GitHub :)
@Esophose
Spigot has the a method for it, Lightning can be displayed without sounds... using <world>.strikeLightningEffect(<location>, false);
I wonder if they will add it to CB.
@Esophose
Hey Eso, I would add the following for "would be" developers who would like to hook into your plugin. I found it easy to create a GUI using the following to add/remove Particle effects. Basically, once the particle was clicked in the GUI I just executed:
Worked pretty easy for me! :)
@BloodyTech17
You can use other plugins such as ChestCommands to create a GUI for players. I don't feel the need to add extra strain on the server simply to create a GUI.
Is there a way to create a GUI for your plugin to make it easier for players?
@cdsquirrel
Right... Sorry about that. Reddust and rainbow both use the redstone particles, so they fall under the same permission name. I'll fix this in the next version. -No ETA-
This was driving me crazy. Hopefully it will help someone else. All the perms line up with their name. smoke = smoke, hearts = hearts, crit = crit and so on, easy. Rainbow is not rainbow it is reddust. I had to look in the source code to find it. I thought my players were crazy because it worked for me '*", lol. Sorry if this is a repeat, I didn't see a prior post.
Anyway, awesome pluging, players love it and it works!!
