PlayerParticles
PlayerParticles has moved to Spigot. Please download the plugin from https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/playerparticles.40261/ for now on. Newer versions will no longer be uploaded here.
PlayerParticles is great to use as a VIP perk and is EULA friendly! Your players will love the amount of customization that is available for them!
The plugin wiki can be found here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki
Permission details can be found in the wiki here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki/Permissions
The GUI provides ease-of-access for your users. Simply typing /pp will open the GUI and bring them to a menu where they can edit their particles. If you are using the plugin for a server lobby, you can bind the /pp gui command to an item using a different plugin.
The section below contains a GIF of all styles currently available in the plugin. Please note that all styles are compatible with all particle effects, meaning there are thousands of combinations. I only show one effect per style in the GIFs below. While most of the GIFs only show the particles around a player, the majority of them can also be placed around blocks.
Arrows
Batman
Beam
BlockBreak
BlockPlace
Celebration
Chains
Companion
Cube
Feet
Halo

PlayerParticles will check for an update each time your server starts. The plugin .jar will never be downloaded, OPs will get a notification in chat when they log in if an update is available. PlayerParticles will also send metrics about your server anonymously through bStats.
Update checking can be turned off by setting check-updates to false in the config.yml. Metrics can be turned off by setting send-metrics to false in the config.yml.
If a player has their particle settings (In Options > Video Settings) set to minimal they will be unable to see most particles displayed. I am unable to fix this since it is purely client side.
I will only help you with errors you are having if you are running the latest version of the plugin and are running a supported version of Minecraft!

@Esophose
I have the same bug, particules do not work.
- No database
- The error is generated with any /pp command (even /pp version)
- Fresh install, and if i try, there isn't any change
@bingoberraz
Yes it does, a few people have been reporting that error to me and I can't quite find what is causing it. If you answer a few questions I should be able to get it fixed.
Try the method described in the third question and see if that fixes it. I think there is a blank field in the style data.yml causing the problem.
Make sure to respond for help!
Does this work on 1.8.7?
[16:53:36 WARN]: [PlayerParticles] Task #17 for PlayerParticles v3.0 generated a n exception java.lang.NullPointerException at com.esophose.playerparticles.ParticleCreator.run(ParticleCreator.java :131) [?:?]
@JohOply
I'll add support for SimplyVanish, VanishNoPacket, and Essentials vanishing at some point. Submit a ticket to keep me reminded about it.
@minpapowner
I am going to stick with just particle effects that are built into the game. Making custom ones isn't exactly on my to-do list.
Hi,
Please can you add a support for http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/simplyvanish/
The dev is already active and updates only if this is necessary, because project is mature :)
Thanks in advance!
A experience orb particle effect would be awesome
Getting close to the 10,000 download mark! Thank you to everybody who has downloaded the plugin so far!
I have released version 3 of the plugin. In this update comes the wonderful additions of styles and mySQL database support!
If you find any errors in the plugin that need to be resolved, please create a ticket. Since this is a new release, there might be a few errors here and there.
Enjoy~
@Esophose
Thank you very very much!!!! :D
@DynamicThijs
Yes I can. That will come out with the v3.0 update which should be out within the next week. Thank you for the suggestion!
Hi Esophose, Could you please add MySQL support so the particles people choose will be synced to other servers that are connected to the same database? Thanks
@ManuelAcb
How did you produce this error message? Were you trying to use a certain particle?
If you aren't having this issue you can also put that.
I get this message followed:
[00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor11.invoke(Unknown Source) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at com.esophose.playerparticles.ParticleEffect.sendPacket(ParticleEffect.java:279) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at com.esophose.playerparticles.ParticleEffect.display(ParticleEffect.java:185) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at com.esophose.playerparticles.ParticleCreator.displayParticle(ParticleCreator.java:171) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at com.esophose.playerparticles.ParticleCreator.run(ParticleCreator.java:73) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.v1_8_R3.scheduler.CraftTask.run(CraftTask.java:71) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.v1_8_R3.scheduler.CraftScheduler.mainThreadHeartbeat(CraftScheduler.java:350) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at net.minecraft.server.v1_8_R3.MinecraftServer.B(MinecraftServer.java:722) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at net.minecraft.server.v1_8_R3.DedicatedServer.B(DedicatedServer.java:374) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at net.minecraft.server.v1_8_R3.MinecraftServer.A(MinecraftServer.java:653) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at net.minecraft.server.v1_8_R3.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:556) [00:57:25] [Server thread/WARN]: at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
What do I do? :(
Well it doesn't really help as I put the - sign there and gave them the permission just as you said to do it as but it didn't work. They still have access to it
@CookieVerse
You can give players negative permissions for the particles.
Say you wanted to remove hugeexplosion from a player, you can give them: -playerparticles.hugeexplosion
The minus sign in front of the permission will make it negative.
Hi is there a way to disable some particles? Some are too big and laggy like hugeexplosion.
Finally got the v2.7 update out!
@danielfr789
Think again! I've just been doing a lot of things recently. I'll see if I can get anything requested in right now.
Pretty sure plugin author is dead...
