About MV2
Multiverse was created at the dawn of Bukkit multiworld support. It has since then grown into a complete world management solution including special treatment of your nether worlds with NetherPortals.
In the second delivery of Multiverse, we've broken it up into several smaller plugins that are each feature packed but *not bloated*! Multiverse provides the easiest to use world management solution for your Minecraft server, big or small, and with great addons like Portals and NetherPortals, what's not to love!
Multiverse is back! Is your server, a Multiverse?
Multiverse-NetherPortals Features
- Allow a nether per real world!
- Let nether portals built in a world go to a specific world
- Custom World Scaling when using NetherPortals! (All types of worlds, normal, skylands and nether supported! Even Custom generators!)
So long Awesome Builds
We use to have this notion of an "Awesome Build" or AB which was suppose to be thought of like Bukkit's Recommended Build system. Awesome Builds were ones that we put extra testing into and were meant to be very stable. Unfortunately there will be no more Awesome Builds. Our development team doesn't have the time to devote to the project that we use to. As such, we've moved to a new build system which you'll notice in the new version numbering. Our release builds here should be stable; Lots of people have had time to vet them for us while they were only development builds. While we don't have much time to work on the project, we do still take critical bugs very seriously and try to get them fixed as quickly as possible.
Does this also work with the_end? people arent ablew to join that either now from our world :/
When you break a portal it leaves behind some of the portal block most of the time
i have a nether portal up and im tryin to setup a fee to enter ,,and everytime i use the command mvnp set price ., or currency ... i get sorry you can not set price or currencty i have modify perm.... set...........
@Wizards1234
THANK YOU!
Now my players can set up their own nether portals instead of me making "artificial" ones.
Nether portals are NOT working.I have already linked them, following the wiki, and it still says "This portal goes nowhere"
@EmpiricalDepth
I tried that, same result... It didn't work. But thanks for the suggestion.
@ arjandotorg - not sure if it helps but you are using the las AB for 1.2.5, try the dev build 575 or better
This does not create a config.yml on first start and then complains that it cannot read the config.
When we have Multiverse-NetherPortals (2.4AB) enabled in Bukkit 1.3.1R1, Exit Portals in The End break on entering. They get totally destroyed. The only way to get an Exit Portal back is by respawning the Enderdragon and destroying him.
When we have Multiverse-NetherPortals disabled, the Exit Portal does not get destroyed, but it doesn't warp us back.
So until there's a solution, I have build a fence round the Exit Portal, and created a regular Multiverse-Portal to get out of The End.
What's going on here? Thanks in advance!
For everyone having a Nether Portal Problem:
1) Make the Nether Portal.
2) /mv info (in the world that you want to make a Nether for)
3) /mvc WORLDNAME_nether Nether (Where WORLDNAME is the name of the world that "/mv Info" gave you)
3) /mvnp link WORLDNAME WORLDNAME_nether
4) /mvnp link WORLDNAME_nether WORLDNAME
5) Now try the portals!

@DKL98
Its in the config of groups for MultiVerse Inventories
I have a the following worlds
world world_nether world_the_end
pvp pvp_nether
plotworld
building
I also have Multiverse-Core Multiverse-Portals Multiverse-NetherPortals Multiverse-Inventories
How do I allow the same inventory between pvp & pvp_nether
Thanks, DKL98
So I've searched and im confused. I use the command "/mv create test normal" it makes the world fine I can access it and it load my issue is that when I attempt to access the nether through a gate it kicks me back and says "This portal goes nowhere!" I noticed it's not making the other test_nether and test_the_end. I am currently using bukkit b2222 and multiverse 2.4b I think for all 4 of the plugins. Is there a simple option im overlooking or must I make the worlds by hand?
This plugin will not work with the 'Stargate' plugin.
@mreynolds93
I would like to know how to fix this as well. I would like the default Minecraft behavior so that every portal in the real world has it's own corresponding portal in the nether. Right now it doesn't matter which portal you enter in the real world, it takes you to the same portal in the nether, and when you exit that portal in the nether, it takes you to the first portal in the real world that was created.
The portals lead to the correct nether, but all portals lead to one portal in the nether, and all portals in the nether lead to one portal in the main world. How do i fix this?
ok so we have tried every way possible to make a nether for a different world other than the main. Every time we do it works fine. The problem is it does not save the environment type when the nether world is generated so everytime the server is restarted it changes the world environment from Nether to Normal.
This is very frustrating. can something be done about it?
Hello,
I have a problem with multiverse nether portals plugin.. log file us full with errors - http://pastebin.com/dhwPdh2a it spams that text over and over again until server crashes
Anyone knows what the problem could be? :? Can give more info.. don't have access to console tho.. but if needed, maybe can change that~ ;D
Worlds loaded with multiverse: 2 main worlds, 2 nether worlds, 2 end's
@Parflagush
It's not default behavior as far as I can find out. Nor am I able to change it, unless I'm missing something. I believe it's minecraft's behavior which Nether-Portal does not appear to alter.
