Known Issues

Certain permissions don't work

Due to a typo in the recent dev build, Bending checks FIRST if a person is using a "harmless" ability (like AirSpout or HealingWaters or a passive), THEN it checks if they have permission. Because of this poor line of code, if an ability is harmless Bending thinks that anyone can use it regardless of permissions. There is no workaround, just wait for the new dev build to come out.

Abilities not damaging players

NoCheatPlus (and perhaps other plugins) view bending's damage as a punch, and think the player is cheating when they "punch" another player at a distance. I'm working on a fix, but it's turning out to be quite obnoxious to do. For now, you should just look into your no-cheating plugin and disable the check for fighting at a range.

I've been kicked for flying/sprinting isn't working

Both vanilla Minecraft and NoCheatPlus have issues with some of the mobility of benders. For now, you can either download the latest dev build or you can deactivate the checks for flying players - either should fix this issue.

I have the dev build and I can't fly with other plugins

Yeah, I had to brute force my way past anti-hacking plugins, which means that this plugin is no longer compatible with 3rd party plugins that allow players to fly outside of creative mode. I'll be working on a fix, but right now it's a much better alternative than having players flyhack without your permission.

X ability isn't working

If you are using one of the recent dev builds, all abilities that have been implemented should be working perfectly fine. There are no exceptions. Check to make sure that your permissions are correct, and are not stopping an ability from being executed. Also, make sure you are using the ability correctly. For more information on an ability, use the search bar on the wiki. You can also use the command: /bending help <ability>.

Permissions aren't working with PEX

We've recently discovered an issue with PEX doing its own inheritance. This means bending.* gives access to all commands, not just the selected ones it should. I'm not sure how to fix this or the workaround - maybe for now try to be explicit in your permission granting or try another permissions plugin.

The plugin isn't working! I'm getting an error!

If you are using v1.0.7, it was compiled in Java JRE7. Look on the front page for the resolution to this issue.

Bug list for Bending v1.0.7

  • Adding new bending requires a server restart/reload to take effect

Bug list for Bending v1.1.0 (current dev build)

  • The dev build will be updated when Bukkit updates its recommended build - that's final
  • The AvatarState permission node is "bending.avatarstate", not "bending.admin.avatarstate" as it should be
  • There is a lot of lag when your bendingplayers.yml file is full and someone removes or chooses bending
