HothGenerator
This world generator creates a real ice world that isn't just normal land covered with snow.
The plugin can actually generate more world types from the star wars movies (Tatooine, Dagobah and Mustafar worlds) but those are not described in detail here. You are left to explore and find all their secrets on your own.

This generator produces an icy world with a thick ice and snow layer and the occasional snow covered mountain. Hidden below you might find tiny caves where life that once inhabited the surface still survives and perhaps you'll find strange structures left over from some ancient civilization.
It also applies some extra rules to the world:
- Ice block, packed ice blocks and snow blocks drops as blocks
- Water placed in open air or above a certain level instantly freezes
- Lava placed in open air or above a certain level is turned into stone
- snow and ice does not melt
- No rain falls, only snow
- Plants doesn't grow if exposed to the sky
- Grass and mycelium dies under open sky if it can't spread into safety
- Slime does not spawn naturally above the stone layer
- Stay out at night and you will take damage from the cold
All rules are fully optional by editing the advanced options section in the configuration file.
Players can don an environment suit to protect themselves from the environment.
- Simply wear full armour with each piece with a name starting with
Environment
Commands to create a world:
STEP 1: You must add a new world to the HothGenerator configuration. This is done using the /hothaddworld
command.
/hothaddworld worldname type
Where "worldname"
is the name of your world and "type"
is one of hoth
, tatooine
, dagobah
or mustafar
.
STEP 2: Create the actual world.
If you are using the excellent MultiWorld plugin you can create a new world like this:
/mw create worldname plugin:HothGenerator
/mw load worldname
Do note that you should use the nether for the mustafar world. Use plugin_nether
above.
And for Multiverse:
/mv create worldname normal -g HothGenerator
or for a mustafar world:
/mv create worldname nether -g HothGenerator
Hey, orgin_org. I am running spigot 1.7.10. Everything works perfectly on the 1.18.1 version. I can generate worlds and the chests that are generated have loot. Its just the exporting and the weather. The weather has no damage to cold and has no messages. Other than that its fine. Have any ideas?

Each world has its own specific rules, game mechanics and environmental effects.
@MeLittleUBigIWin
I don't think the 1.18.1 version works anymore due to changes in worldedit. That is, the worldedit api has changed since 1.18.1 was released.
The 1.20.2 version is updated to handle the worldedit changes, but that requires you to use craftbukkit 1.8 from spigot.
I guess you're on craftbukkit 1.7?
Hey, orgin_org this is the most amazing plugin I have ever seen. I need some help though. I am having trouble with the /hothexport portion i am currently running your 1.18.1 version. Everytime I do /hothexport (name) it will say An internal error has occurred while attempting to perform this command. The file shows up in the custom folder. I even rename it with (name).sm and it wont do anything. No numbers or custom options. Just Blank. I am using worledit if u are wondering.
Please contact me. That would be most helpful. My skype: MeLittleUBigIWin
I used this plugin a year ago. I plan to load it up again and check on its ram/cpu use, check for memory leaks and all that fun stuff. Once i know its solid ill be making "Icelands Towny World" Should be awesome, players are begging for it. Im going to wait until the update before I test it. Cant wait.
Also whats the difference with the world types you have added?? Just the biome type?
Some people seems to be unable to create the other world types, so here's an explanation on how to create a tatooine world.
(tatooine is the desert world)
STEP 1: Let the HothGenerator plugin know that you want a tatooine world:
/hothaddworld desert tatooine
"desert"
is the name of the new world."tatooine"
is the type of world.To verify that HothGenerator has added the world just do:
/hothworldinfo
Hoth worlds:
World: desert Type: tatooine Status: Not loaded.
STEP 2: You need to use your multiworld plugin to create the actual world:
/mw create desert plugin:HothGenerator
/mw load desert
To verify that everything is working okey just do:
/hothworldinfo
Hoth worlds:
World: desert Type: tatooine Status: Loaded.
Note that type must be
"tatooine"
and status must be"Loaded"
.If it doesn't say
"tatooine"
then you forgot to set the world type in step 1.If it doesn't say
"Loaded"
then you didn't create the world properly in step 2.If the world generates normal world chunks then you didn't create the world properly in step 2.
Look at the plugin description above on how to create worlds with the Multverse plugin.
Using the extra world types does NOT work if you don't have a multiworld plugin. You might get around it by naming the world "world" (
/hothaddworld world tatooine
) but that is untested so there's no guarantee that it will work.You can always change the world type using the
/hothsetworldtype
command. However be aware that if the world has already been loaded then any already existing chunks will not be replaced by new ones. If you want to completely remake a world you have to stop the server, remove everything in that world's region folder and start the server again.Progress on Mustafar (Coming 2.0 release):
- Added stations. You will spawn on a station and more stations can be found around the map.
- Added "Jedi" temples
- Added smooth lava (like the smooth snow cover in hoth)
I'm currently experimenting with volcano lava eruptions. I have some preliminary stuff that works really well but I need to make the eruptions a bit smarter.
@orgin_org
I have no bug now, thank you very much for your plugin.
@LordLopez500
Could you verify that things are working properly for you with the latest release?
This plugin looks pretty insane! :)
@LordLopez500
New file uploaded.
@LordLopez500
Okey I've pulled the new file. I'll look into it as soon as possible. If you find anything else then let me know.
@orgin_org
Problem solved with 1.20.1. Thank you very much !
Edit : I'm really sorry, but I have a new bug now : ice melts above stone layer despite "rules.stopmelt: true".
@orgin_org
Edit : I will test the new release as soon as possible.
Thank you for your answers.
Yes, I created a new map to test.
And the screenshot :
@LordLopez500
I've uploaded a new version (1.20.1). Please test it when it shows up in the download list.
It contains preliminary code for a mustafar world so avoid generating a mustafar world in a production server.
@LordLopez500
And you are sure that it happens in newly generated chunks?
Can you post a screenshot?
@orgin_org
Sorry for my probably bad english, I am french.
When the bug appeared, I was using the latest version of spigot 1.8 and the 1.20 version of hothgenerator.
As a precaution I reinstalled the latest version of spigot this morning, but nothing changed.

HothGenerator config :
@LordLopez500
Are you using the latest craftbukkit from spigot?
The snow layers generate just fine for me so you have to find out what's wrong with your installation.
Also, if you installed the 1.19 version then you need to upgrade to 1.20. 1.19 had that bug due to a change in the spigot craftbukkit. Use /hothinfo to see the version. It should say "1.2".
Hello. I have a bug with the last update : the different snow layers does not generate.
hello orgin_org I love your plugin !! I am having trouble creating worlds These are the steps I follow:
------------ hola orgin_org me encanta tu plugin!! Estoy teniendo problemas para crear mundos Estos son los pasos que sigo: '' Pero siempre me genera un mundo "hoth"
