FlamingArrows - Arrows on fire light things on fire: Version: v1.1.2
This plugin simply makes it so arrows which are on fire can cause fires.
Features:
- If an arrow is burning, it will cause a fire on the block it hits.
- Light arrows on fire with flint and steel if it's in the second inventory slot. Uses durability of said flint and steel.

- 1.0.1: Fix - fires no longer replace blocks, but do replace air.

First of all, great plugin. I run Bukkit version 2149 and this mods works for me. It does what it says, it shoots flaming arrows and sets stuff on fire, GREAT :)!
However, when my flint and steel has been used up and is no longer in my inventory, my server gets a message with every arrow that is shot.
This message does not appear when I add the flint and steel in my inventory next to the bow. Would be great if you can fix this. If not, fortunately it's only annoying and does not disrupt anything.
What would be a nice option is to let the mod set arrows on fire, not depending on the flint and steel to be in the second slot. As cvxx7q mentioned:
"i do feel that the flint and steel in the second slot is cumbersome in that i have to tell all my players how to use this plugin etc, is it possible that if a player carries a flint and steel anywhere in their inventory the flaming projectile is produced??"
I was looking for a plugin to do exactly this! Imagine my dismay when I saw I couldn't use it because it was outdated. Is it still being worked on, or has it been abandoned? :(

Is this going to be updated because although some people say it works that doesn't mean there won't be some incompatibilities and I don't want to break my server with this but it's awesome. Never mind I saw your comments about finals anyways looks awesome can't wait for the updates.

I wish I could, but I don't know how torcharrow does it, given I don't know how to get the arrow after it is shot.. only after it hits a target.
is it possible to add light source to burning arrow, like torchArrow plugin works?

Just wante to say: everything works fine now! Problems came from a small incompatibility between a configuration of WorldEdit with PEX.

Maybe it was a problem with PEX and the group/subgroup structure. I will test it.

check your other plugins, a conflict between bukkit and another plugin can "bleed" of sorts to your other plugins
Strange, i can't get it to work with CB 1532 anymore. No errors ... no problems while startup ... just no flaming arrows :( I used admin admin all-power ' * ', i used the 3 permission nodes, nothing o.O
Ok now it works again ... sometimes it works, sometimes not ... very strange.

I'll get to work on it, but don't expect a release until an rb is out. I'd rather reduce the headache I'm about to incur with this.

you could make it very expensive, or ver inefficient, lets think of an explosive arrow realistically its a very small charge thus a small explosion is expected (lets not get into advanced explosives okay ppl?) anyways
perhpas do wat you do with flint and steel only with TNT
and make its damage very small say.. 1 block? or maybe full damage
perhaps add a config option for radius
or enable/disable completely

If I do, it will be restricted to purely permissions because of the damage capability.. unless there is demand for otherwise.
