ControlORBle, lets you control player experience. From configuring experience loss on death, down to how much experience you get from monsters, this plugin lets you customize just about everything you can do with experience!

The multipliers don't support non-whole numbers... So I'd have to update that to doubles or something, which could break old configuration.
I'll take it into consideration thuogh.
Could you put in a multiplier for spawner exp rather than just on/off? I'd like to give half or maybe a bit less exp for them.
There's a few bugs that I've fixed in github, I'm not sure if I want to release a new version yet...
If I do, I'll release it later today.

What do you mean by "virtual levels"?
does this make block breaking drop xp orbs? If not, please add :)))

whatever you do , please don't add "virtual levels" of any kind. like heroes or mcmmo. The builtin xp orbs and levels should be enhanced, not replaced.
Thank you for this useful plugin. works flawlessly with the latest CB1.2.5-R4. Works nicely along side another xp plugin to handle the block place/break, shh listen! I like your one so much more. "But don't tell anyone". I like how your plugin stops orbs from dropping, puts a stop to players making Spawner farms for XP drops, and all those lost orbs laying around. Just brilliant thinking fieldmaster. Levels would be a suited addition to this already wonderful plugin as mentioned by [watdidyusaey] although adding a switch to allow levels true or false Also you can add level percentage for specific a group/groups using a permission.

You can't do that with this plugin. But you make a good point... You should be able to do such a thing. :P
So...
How would I increase how much xp it takes to level?
for example, I want it to be ever harder to level from 40-50.
This plugin is quite awesome. I had installed it and was freakin' out because some block breaks weren't working, but then I realized the spawn protection radius on my server was huge, like 16… and I couldn't mine anything. Definitely no fault of this plugin. Fixed that right up!

When players die, I am testing using falling, the orbs still drop

The problem is that when they reutrn to the death location. Usually by command /back they retrieve the dropped orbs and gain xp from dying
found the conflict. another plugin was stacking the items BEFORE they were being removed by ControlORBle. Specifically MaxTPS

Tell the maker of that mod to call a damage event for the flail (and his other weapons), and it'll work.
For some reason with ControlORBle I am stuck at level 44. I no longer gain exp from mobs at all (no message from killing a mob) but every other player still can. Why is this?
Edit: I guess it's because I'm using a flail from another mod and it doesn't recognize kills with that weapon.
Hello, I think you have done great work with this plugin. It works great with CB #1438. I run a hardcore server, so I have a couple requests:
1. I would like the ability to give fractions of xp per block mined. If that is not feasible, create a configurable percentage, so that only 10% of the time, a block drops xp.
2. I would like a negative xp possibility, for example killing pigs or opening chests (probably 2 very different actions in Bukkit) would reduce a players xp.
3. I would like an option to get exp from placing blocks, with a configurable percentage for exp gain.

Hello, I just upgraded from CB 1.2.4.-R1.0 to 1.2.5-R1.0 and ControlORBle seems to work fine on both versions.
Server console doesn't display any loading error message and the plugin works fine (adds exp and messages show up).

This plugin should work on 1.2.5. I don't update unless I know there are bugs/it doesn't run anymore/or I'm in the mood to update. :P
I just read the news Fieldmaster congratulations on your new status with Bukkit :). I hope it doesn't mean this mod dies its a seriously great mod. So much so I don't update until I know Controlorble is ready.

I was thinking of adding something to manage experience some how, but I don't have much time. If you can make plugins, you can already listen to the event and try to work rules out yourself. :)

It is things like this that have steered me away from block experience, as I used to play on a server that operated similarly (Heroes has a block experience component, where repeatedly farming iron and gold ore would quickly level you up). You might want to rethink the idea of this simply because of that enchantment.
How do you guys who use block exp handle people who use silktouch to get diamond and just put it down and mine it again for exp? Or people who just get iron and keep putting it down and mining for xp?
