Just use the simple commands linked below and you'll be on your way. No tricky maneuvers required!
To make books auto-update, make the book's title end with "[U]". For example, "booktitle[U],authorname.txt" or "updatingbook[U].txt".
All book data saves to [Server Plugins Folder]->[Books without Borders]->[Books]

Concerning Future Updates
Development for this plugin is currently inactive for the foreseeable future, though I would love to start again if I ever got the chance. If I become aware that this plugin no longer functions with current builds of bukkit and minecraft I will update this page to reflect that.
A sincere thank you to everyone who used and/or gave feedback for this plugin. It was a pleasure while it lasted.
If you enjoy this plugin and want to say thanks, some caffeine is always welcome :D

Feel free to leave comments and suggestions!
Hi!
I know this is a very old thread, but I'll try anyway ^^.
I've seen on the internet that you could bypass the 100 pages limitation, I'm currently trying to import Patrick Süskinds - The Perfume in a Minecraft book and am struggling with this problem.
In the hope you still exist on this platform, thanks for what you've already done! 😊
Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you all know Ive submitted the last version with source code for bukkit approval. As soon as it is approved anyone can continue this project, but please credit this project if you do.
I am truly sorry that I waited this long to release the source code: I should have just done it when I put the project on hiatus. I honestly was hoping Id just be able to come back to it.
As always, thank you very much to everyone who used or supported this project. I never thought it would go as well as it did, and I really enjoyed creating something people found use for.
@zainmz
You'll be pleased to know I just uploaded the last release including its source code. As soon as it is approved, anyone can now continue this project. (please credit this project if you do)
give the plugin to someone else to manage don't let this piece of work go to waste...
@thequestingbeast
Very strange, sounds like something is getting a bit crisscrossed during encryption. Unfortunately, for the foreseeable future I do not have the time and resources to continue developing this plugin. Its frustrating and upsetting to leave in bugs, but I simply cant afford to crack into the code anymore. I hope you can understand, and I hope this hasn't caused a terrible amount of frustration in your minecraft experience.
@ursak
I just wanted to thank you for the help you gave others while I was away. Its always great to see people helping out when they can.
It seems that encrypted books can only have one password per book per person. For example if I make a group of books and want them all to have the same password, I can't. Only the last one made will work the others say something like "this is the wrong password."
@ShankTankOP
And us saved it with the U in the end?
When the book is in .yml form it wont auto update which is stupid because .txt is hard to format
@ebaldino
If you want to give books with a sign, try the plugin "server signs" since it let you run commands both as user and as console. This way it would be as if you actually typed the command yourself and should work better.
Just a tip. :)
@Kinlamaru My apologies for the late reply.
I would suggest the .yml format, as I personally find it easier to read and maintain, and it has some additional functionality.
As for using the books for new players feature, in the config file, under Books_for_new_players, for each book you want to give to new players add a new line with "- booktitle,author.yml". The books must be in the public folder.
@Kinlamaru
Thank you for the suggestions. I will do my best to implement features like these in the future.
what is the proper syntax for the "booksfornewplayers"?
is it better to save books as .txt or .yml?
@AkiraAkiba
No problem!
mind making it so that players can choose whether their books can be loaded by other players or not?
maybe have economy option to set a price on privating books.
@G1Teanji
Thank you for letting me know of these behaviors. I will keep an eye out for these issues when I build the next plugin update against 1.8, and I imagine the switch to 1.8 will remedy the majority of them. I will be sure to let you know if I am unable to recreate the issue and need additional info from you.
Till then, many thanks for your continued interest and support.
@ebaldino
I'm glad to hear things have mostly smoothed out for you (sans signs). I do apologize for all the hoops you had to jump through to get an alternative going though, as well as my absence during that time. I do intend to fix sign functionality, and that shouldn't be a major issue once I've made the jump to 1.8.
Again, I appreciate everyone bumping me in the right direction for the 1.8 update, and I will do my best to catch up to things once I am able to wrestle away some free time.
Thanks again for all the feedback.
@TheOnlyRealTGS
Thank you very much for the link. More than likely this is the direction my plugin development will take for now. I had been a bit ignorant of these things as I had only been checking bukkit.org for updates.
@ebaldino
More specifically, when you edit a book from file, save it and load it into the game it doesn't have unlimited characters and the colour codes break. The plugin works, it's just some key base functionality that isn't working that I was looking for. I do have the latest versions of those plugins (at the very least 1.8 versions).
