BleedingMobs
BleedingMobs
Make your mobs bleed a little
BleedingMobs creates a blood effect, when you hit animals, monsters and other players. It generates blood particles using wool and redstone drops, that disappear after a short time and stain the floor with colored wool blocks. All particles can't be picked up and the wool blocks on the floor can't be broken. This plugin is highly customizable in the config.yml. If you need more options, just add a comment or create a ticket.
You should watch the videos to see the effects in action.
The idea for this project came after watching Yogscast: "Shadow of Israphel" Part 25 and 29.
Permissions You need the permission bleedingmobs.admin (default: op) to use the /bleedingmobs command. You need the permission bleedingmobs.bloodstrike (default: true), if you enable permission-only in config. If you enable the permission bleedingmobs.noblood (default: false), you will not bleed when hurt.
Statistics Since Version 3.4 this plugin sends statistics about the usage to the server http://mcstats.org/. You can disable it using the command /bleedingmobs disable-metrics
@Iaccidentally
Okay ! I'll wait.
@nelson2wsx
As soon as I have a chance. I'm away from home at the moment and don't really have the ability to do much.
It's broke at 1.5 CB Server Can u undate the new version?
@ThePlayingNoob
If you have NoLagg or BKCommonLib, update them to the latest dev builds.
i was streaming my log to see what is going on and i saw this error come up: http://pastebin.com/QmkjS8sh
Quick question: If the woolblock turns; lets say diamond ore into a wool block, canu mine the wool to get the diamond?
@Iaccidentally
I know it would be quit complex but some players get annoyed of bleed after playing 2-4 weeks.
@ThePlayingNoob
No real good way to do this, as doing so would be quite complex.
@dh35367
It already does this automatically, but you can change the time in the config.
Hello, some players on my server get annoyed of this plugin after 1 week, could you add a command like /Bleed ignore so only the player that type it will be ignored?
@wez1981 I also run a monster apocalypse server but the blood is not casing any lag, the default level of mobs generated for the bonus spawns did cause lag until I lowered it. If you have bonus spawns on i suggest lowering the amount of mobs generated per player to prevent serious lag especially if the bonus includes giants.
@Iaccidentally
Fantastic, we run monster apocalypse so the mob count is very high on our server. Its quite common to have 40 mobs per person bashing away so i want to tweak the amount of particles being generated to stop the lag we are experiencing (i refuse to remove it, as its a great effect!)
The default settings are probably a non-issue for vanilla servers with normal mob counts.
@wez1981
Will be fixed in the next release which I will be pushing shortly.
@Favorlock
Same issue, config resets for me..
@ed58
I cant seem to reproduce this locally, so I'm guessing it has something to do with another plugin. I'll be pushing a new update sometime in the next day or two, and if you have any plugins that modify chunks or drops (such as nolagg) or are running a custom bukkit version like spigot, make sure those are up to date and the config setting there aren't messing with it.
@Iaccidentally
I'm having a little problem with this plugin. at times. (Well most of the time) the blood particles will remain on the ground until a player gets close to them. Sometimes they will disappear after about 3 seconds like they are suppose to but I had a chunk error at one point because of this problem. Any fix for this?
Edit: I've also messed around in the config a bit and still can't seem to solve the problem.
@Favorlock
I'll look into it for the next version. Haven't tested with libigot either.
Uh, the config keeps resetting each time I start the server. Any idea why?
It would appear to be a bug with the 1.4.7 version. I used the previous version for 1.4.6 and the config does not reset. Mind you I'm using Libigot for Heroes, though that just gives me a message saying unsupported bukkit version. Everything works though.
@fliuxus
Shouldn't happen unless another plugin is doing something strange. Either way, in the next version this should be literally impossible.
