AutoRegionGuard
AutoRegionGuard
I'm currently working on a lighter version of ARG but I can't tell a release date yet.
Why ARG?
- You do not need any commands to claim chunks
- You do not need to define areas which can be claimed
- You do not need any admins to (un)claim chunks
- You do not need any admins to share your chunks
- You do not need any admins to protect all your stuff.
- You do not need any extra plugins to protect chests and everything else.
- Economy support!
- Fully automated chunk claiming!
Features:
- Automatically claims a chunk by placing an configurable ammount of blocks in it.
- Claimed chunks are protected from other players editing.
- Others can't steal stuff in claimed chunks (Chests, Furnaces, etc).
- Also explosions and fire doesn't affect on claimed chunks.
- Nobody can pull/push blocks with pistons through claimed chunks. Just the chunk owner.
- All protections can be handled by chunk owners
- Inactive players (offline since xx days) will loose chunks + friendlist after a specified time.
- All data is stored in MySQL! No flatfiles which are causing high I/O load.
- Friendlist !
Version notes:
- Currently ARG supports all blocks/items up to Minecraft 1.7.5 !
- This plugin does not work together with other protection plugins !
Plugin requirements:
- ARG requires a permissions plugin otherwise it will not work!
- Also it requires a MySQL Database otherwise it will not work!
- OPTIONAL: Vault + any supported economy plugin
Plugin setup:
- Configuration - MySQL - Economy: Click here
- Permissions: Click here
- Commands: Click here
Protections:
- Building/removing Blocks
- Explosions
- Fire
- Doors/Trapdoors

Metrics & Updates
ARG is using metrics to collect stats! It only collects basic things such as version type, players online, version of craftbukkit, etc.
Go into /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you wish to disable that.
ARG also includes an update-checker and auto-updater. Go into /plugins/AutoRegionGuard/updater.yml if you wish to disable that.
Can you add a worldguard hook?
You can add: "Inactive players (offline since xx days) will loose chunks + friendlist after a specified time." and regenerate naturally that chunk...
Unfortunately, it looks like arg no longer works with bukkit either. After updating to recommended 3 v1.7.2 arg no longer starts up with the server, throwing up errors. Any ideas about a fix? Can't add the startup file here as on mobile. Thanks!
Using older spigot versions loads ARG fine anything above spigot build #1245 won't start ARG on server startup. You should take a look at it
AutoRegionGuard doesn't seem to start anymore with latest Spigot builds. Atm using Spigot build #1245
@recon88
Any news about the "turn off the inactivity feature for specified players/names" thing? I prefer to assign chunks to dummy accounts like "Server" and it's possible that my ops got RL stuff to do and afk long time.
Hi can u update the Plugin pls?
@KeithSt0ne
I'll add a command or something to turn off the inactivity feature for specified players/names.
Also you could just claim the spawn chunks by yourself because you are the server owner :P
@recon88
If I use that give command to assign the spawn area to a name with 17+ characters, won't it eventually unclaim based on this:
"Inactive players (offline since xx days) will loose chunks + friendlist after a specified time."
I wouldn't want to disable that feature.
@KeithSt0ne
Negate all arg permissions for the worlds you don't want it in. Go to your permissions plugin project page and check for a How-To.
You can do "/arg give somerandomname" when standing in for spawn chunks. Minecraft names are limited to 16 characters. Just use 17+ characters. Or put special characters in it which are not allowed in MC names itself so nobody can ever create an account with the given name like "myserver*spawn".
So, If I have multiple worlds, I just create a world I want to use arg on and then set the permissions for arg to be used only on that specific world?
I have faction and other mini games, I don't want this plugin interfering with it.
Also, what do people use to protect a spawn location with this plugin?
I have a 1.6.4 server and I don't know if I'm not doing something right or it doesn't work for 1.6.4 I put the permission arg.user in my groupmanager, I have Vault

Cool, i'm using GriefPrevention right now and its lagging a lot. Someone told me its because its using accurate claims down to 1 block. They also said any system that claims using chunks would be faster. Going to try this plugin when i switch maps in 1.7
@ManBeastPigDev
See changelog (v2.0). Changed a lot just for a better performance on bigger servers.
Would this plugin be fast enough to avoid lag on a server with 100+ players on a large map?
Do i just make an empty sql db or do i need to make fields or anything else? Going to try this on a beta server and see how it goes. I like how simple it is.
Interesting this plugin
can u add a language file?
And add pleas function item or exp pay for claim. economy!
Hello can u add a language file? And can u make it so when anyone enter a chunk from a player then notify in the chat like "this region is owned by <playaer> ? :DD
Would I be too much of a nuisance if I asked you to possibly consider implementing separate permissions for Ender Chests within chunks? I think that if an Ender Chest is in a chunk, it can be opened by anyone so you can easily access whatever is in there. It would be safe and convenient, because, at the moment, an Ender Chest is grouped as a chest, so it can't be opened in someone else's chunk.
