AntiAdvertising
Don't you hate these people joining your server, spamming their server's ip?
This plugin will bring an end to this.
It searches the chat messages (and specified commands) for server addresses like 111.111.111.111:12345 or server.domain.com. The plugin will then check if this message really points to a minecraft server (by pinging it) and in this case can:

@PalominosVIP
@lecraeman
Nope, I can assure you that's not the problem. The version information only states which bukkit version the plugin works on (all following included). It's like the plug of a cellphone charger that also works for older versions of the cellphone ;-)
You could try setting "debug" to true and checking the console for debug messages that could help isolating the problem?
To do this, simply add the line debug: true to the config.yml
@lecraeman
Maybe its because it's not updated to 1.5.2? I am going to wait for an update.
@seane96
if you have essentials you need to add essentials.url (i believe) to fix that.
Hi,
I gave my admins this permission: antiad.ignore
but it's not working, they still get the dots removed.
Help would be appreciated.
This really makes no sense to me. I can't get it working, and I used the premade config you included...What am I doing wrong??
Good plugin
@killertudse
Please be more specific.
whitelist does NOT work!
I'd really appreciate it if you could make this work with SRV records :)
@upsj
I only know of two people that have difficulties connecting to our servers and we've established it's just their ISP. Connecting to the server is fine for everyone else.
@godgodgodgo
Have you successfully requested the IP for one of the domains (with subdomain)? I've tried to connect to the servers using minecraft, the domain names couldn't be resolved either.
@upsj
Considering I setup the domains....they are SRV records and there are no issues with them. ;)
@godgodgodgo
Not yet. I didn't even know they could be used for MC.
But as far as I can see, at least one of these domains doesn't have SRV records: http:dev.bukkit.org/paste/7763/
All in all, it seems like some kind of DNS issue... The DNS requests I make are all answered without an IP address.
@upsj
Does the plugin support SRV records? They could be the reason it's not working.
@godgodgodgo
That's strange, these domain names can't be resolved by all services I tried. Ping and java consider them unknown, dig returns a response without an IP address...
All domains of MC servers I've tried worked well.
"for server addresses like 111.111.111.111:12345 or server.domain.com" Essentially, the server.domain.com aspect of the detection isn't working for me.
@upsj
survival.mineyc.com pvp.mineyc.com flan.mineyc.com rather than the actual ip: 45.344.233.12:25565 for example <
not a real ip@godgodgodgo
I don't completely get what you mean. Examples?
So, this doesn't seem to work with servers that use domains for their ips. Anything I'm missing to get this working?
Useful!
