AncientCave
This plugin is a continuation of BananaMaze I've fixed some bugs, added features and updated it for bukkit 1.2.5
you can set it up with multiverse by running a command like:
/mv create Dungeon NORMAL -g AncientCave
Features:
- Create a world that is a randomly generated maze of rooms traps and monster spawners.
- Collect rare items, including magic scrolls (requiresMagicSpells plugin.)
- using multiverse-inventories (or a similar plugin) you can set up the cave on your server as a dangerous place survival players can go in search of loot.
Planned Features:
- multiple floors?
- piston/tripwire traps
- "boss" rooms
- working exit portals
Current Loot: (Custom loot can be set in the config.yml file)
- Enchanted items
- Music Disks
- Monster Spawn eggs
- Potions (including the 4 currently unbrewable potions
- Common loot: Glowwstone, soul sand, sponge, clay, exp bottle, sulphur, clay brick, iron ingot, gold ingot, arrow, string, bone, sugar cane, iron pickaxe, iron sword, flint and steel, chainmail boots, chainmail chestplate, chainmail helmet, chainmail leggings, bucket, wood sword, stone pickaxe, stone sword, gold pickaxe, gold sword, leather chestplate, leather helmet, leather leggings, iron boots, iron chestplate, iron helmet, iron leggings, sugar, apple, raw fish, cooked fish, pork, grilled pork, diamond
- rarer loot: compass, saddle, diamond pickaxe, diamond sword, diamond chestplate, diamond helmet, diamond leggings, diamond boots, gold block, cake, cookie, milk bucket, golden apple, TNT
The Dungeon is much more difficult during the night. I recommend TmeLock for keeping it night all the time.
Doubt this will happen, but I would love to see this plugin updated to current version. Has exactly what I've been looking for.
is this plugin on git hud i wold like this on my up coming server can you update it to 1.11/12 or can i have the sorce files and ill do it this was a fun plugin back in the day and i wold like to bring it back

can you make it so it always randomly regenerates whenever the server reloads?

Wow, thank you for redirecting people to my project :-) A friend of my send me the link to this page. Hello, sorry for the lack of updates. I started this as something for my server, figured I'd put it out there for others to use. Sadly I don't have as much time to mess around coding as I'd like. Luckily, someone else took this to another level. I may continue to update this occasionally with MC updates, but for the most part timvisee's DungeonMaze is waaay better than this plugin. Once he gets the multiverse bugs worked out I plan to use it on my server, it looks really cool.

I definitely appreciate the fact that you're carrying on the work with this generator. It's one of my favourites so, thanks for that. :)
I wanted to note that I was/am having the problem with rooms not being rendered when generated (not running any anti-lag plugins) but when the server reloads, the holes go away. Likely a minor fix for you.

That may actually be a bug with an anti-lag plugin. I had the same issue on my server for a while. Are you running NoLagg, or a similar plugin? If so, I suggest removing it. That type of plugin can glitch with Multiverse.
Any plans to continue developing this? I love it so far, but I'd like an option to put a roof on for example and your planned features sound fantastic.

Couple of questions though, I use another plugin that triggers a random teleportation into the dungeon to spread out players. Will the loot chests refill after a given time or do I need to look into another plugin for that? After a while even the random teleportation is going to find you looking at a bunch of empty chests if it doesn't.
Also...not sure if this is plugin related but there are times when some areas don't load completely until the player re-logs the server (random teleported into one and fell in the void) is this just my server not keeping up with chunk generation or the plugin?
BTW...I'm using this on CraftBukkit 1.3.1 R2.0.

so i loaded this on my test 1.3.1 map craftbukkit RB 2 and i had missing sections of world not loading :(
also as a suggestion better door placements alot of rooms were not accessible
I am having an issue with rendering. When I create a map there are random full chunks that are just missing. Not in the sense of my client isn't putting them in, but rooms are literally just missing.
Also when I put the room height low enough that a ceiling is present the extra doodads that would be put into the rooms (ie ruins, torches, pools, spiderwebs) are all on the ceiling and not in the dungeon. So I either have to leave the ceiling off, and put it on manually later on, or live with the dungeon not being fleshed out.

Yes, but worldguard blocks it for both player and environment. I only want it blocked for environment.
Doesn't matter much though, i found a plugin to do exactly what i want for creepers, can fully control what sort of damage they do, etc...

u can configure worldguard to only block creeper block damage in that one world.
Any estimate for when this will have 1.3.1 compatibility? :-)
Nevermind. Seems to be working so far.
Awesome plugin, just set it up on our server and decided to try it myself. I died quite a fair number of times.
1 thing though, what would you recommend for protecting the world? i was just going to set up Worldguard on it so that our players couldn't destroy blocks/spawners/etc...
Only problem with worldguard is that the 'creeper-damage' flag is for both environment damage and player damage.
So creepers would still be able to destroy stuff. Unless there is another plugin that could handle that side.
