blXP

Table of Contents

blXP allows players to save XP using "XP Bank" signs and send XP to another player by command, including support for disabling monsters xp and items drops near monster spawners. Read this page with care and if you have questions, feel free to send comment. Dont forget to send in feedback, suggestions and bug reports!

READ BEFORE ASKING

Servers using blXP

Name	IP	Minecraft version

Features

Store XP using sign, automatic protected from other players.
Optional permission to allow other players to break XP Banks.
Optional economy support (set cost to setup XP Bank).
Optional protection from explosives (TNT and Creeper).
Optional support to disable (item and XP) drops from monsters near mob spawner.
Edit/Translate all of the plugin messages.

Commands

/xpreload
Reload plugin main configure file.
/xpversion
Check plugin version and possible updates.
/xprestore
If your sign was removed while you were online, you can use command /xprestore to reclaim lost XP.
/xpsend (player) (amount)
Send defined amount of XP to another player.
/xpadd (amount)
Add XP to your XP Bank, must be used near XP Bank sign.
/xpinfo
Display how much XP you have.
/xpinfo (player)
Display another player XP amount, requires blxp.admin permission node..

Permissions

- blxp.send (allows to send XP to another player)
- blxp.use (allows use of XP Bank Signs, usecommands /xprestore and /xpadd (amount)).
- blxp.break (allows normal players to break other players XP Banks).
- blxp.info (allows player to check amount of XP they have).
- blxp.admin (all permissions nodes including power to use /xpreload, /xpversion and /xpinfo <player> commands).

NOTE: blxp.admin doesnt include blxp.use permission, you need to add that too.

How to Setup Bank

Line 1: XP BANK (as long title has words "XP BANK" with proper space between two words).

Line 2: Amount of XP players wants to store.

Line 3: Optional: How much XP is taken from bank with each click, if blank will be set to max. amount automatic. (one click takes all XP out).

Here again.

So, I finally got computer and up running, had to do fresh window install and all that fun, it took a while to get backups from external HD and setup everything back, sadly I had not created backups for bukkit .jar files (bukkit, not craftbukkit), gotta try to see where I download those. Once I started checking around Bukkit I noticed current situation, so for now I will keep an eye what happends in near future.

Question for you guys and girls, are you still going to use Bukkit or move to another solution (minecraft default server software or so)? I don't personally play minecraft so I'm not all that up to date with all the hassle around bukkit/mojang/spigot etc.

Well, here we go then.

Tried to submit fix for recent problems that are affecting Spigot servers, dev.bukkit staff reply: "The reason for rejection is: This is not a site for Spigot plugins. ". So if anyone is wondering whats up, now you know. Feel free to send me private message requesting Spigot fix and I will provide you with the file, cant do much more.

Well, this sucks, I have been bit too busy with other stuff to update, sorry about that. Testing has gone good, Spigot errors are pretty much cleared, hoping for friday release if I can get testing all done.

For those who are using Spigot and receiving "Plugin already initialized!" error, I have some good news. Most of the Spigot related errors with recent build has been fixed, I will run deeper tests to see that no feature throws that error anymore and then upload "Spigot Fix" build, should be up tomorrow.

Developer build for updated blXP has been given out.

Updated for Bukkit 1.7.2

1) blxp.admin now includes blxp.use, blxp.break, blxp.info and blxp.send permissions, so its "real admin" permission node finally.

You can still manually give each permission to everyone, but blxp.admin includes all permissions, use as op permissions.

If I dont receive any major bug reports, I will upload 1.7.2 update here at dev.bukkit.org in few days

I need some opinions before going forward, so if time, please send in comment!

I have been thinking about this for a long time, blXP would need to be rewritten from ground zero to offer many new features that old blXP could not bring to the table. This means that old XP banks wont work anymore, I know that sucks and Im sorry for that but this is must to bring blXP to same quality as my other plugins are.

New features include:
- Option to delete player XP banks.
- Option to teleport to the player XP.
- Change player XP Bank(s) XP amount.
- Allow storing/taking XP only at certain time of the day
- Better XP Bank listing format at config.yml.
- Portable XP banks using XP bottles.
and others things for better admin features.

What do you guys think?

Help! TNT block damage is disabled. But the xp bank thinks he has been destroyed. You get your xp back AND the sign still exists

I'm still using this plugin, it works fine on 1.7!
But I'm also looking forward to an update, especially if it brings portable XP Banks... :D

In my opinion blXP would need larger update, I have been planning to rewrite blXP with following idea:

Planned features
- Better command format, /blxp <command> instead /xp<command>.
- View (list) player XP banks.
- Delete one or all XP banks from defined player.
- Teleport to the defined player XP bank(s).
- More detailed listing of XP banks at config.yml
- Option to create portable XP Banks (read http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/blxp/polls/would-you-use-new-bl-xp-lite-version-more-info-at-comments/#c1)

If someone actually still cares enough to use blXP, I will start working on the update. Send in comment and let me know what you guys and girls think!

blXP update completed, needs quick tests to check that everything is working, release planned before friday (most likely in two days, but giving longer ETA just in case).

Added "Servers using" section, if you wish to include your server at that list, inform me your server details (name, IP, minecraft version) via comment or private message.

REMEMBER: Server cannot be whitelisted OR you must whitelist me (CoffeeOD), I will do regular checks on each server to confirm that server is indeed using this plugin in order to remain at that list.
